You have made your point that the topic title is a little over-enthusiastic. I'm not sure why this issue is so important to you, however. Seems overly semantic.theclaw wrote: This mode isn't "entire" by any stretch of the word.

I'm helping the greater good. We want the web at large to have accurate info.

I'll update the OP if you don't mind collecting all that info into one post or something.

They need to be unlocked on GX, then they'll show up on AX.theclaw wrote:Another difference from real AX, is the AX vehicles are not unlocked.

Mentioning behavior that's unlike arcade AX just helps demonstrate my point.Ghegs wrote:They need to be unlocked on GX, then they'll show up on AX.theclaw wrote:Another difference from real AX, is the AX vehicles are not unlocked.
Anyway what appears changed I know about thus far:
GX title screen
missing LAN feature
no prompt to insert coins
incomplete translation (arcade AX had a fully English version)
no way to insert license cards
no test menus

By the way! I also discovered that menu icon/voice mismatch is actually a localization error.
Mute City Sonic Oval was on the far left in the Japanese version AX content.

Didn't mean to disprove anything, just to get on record that the vehicles are, in fact, playable. Of course there are differences between real AX and this AX, it's still a great find.theclaw wrote:Mentioning behavior that's unlike arcade AX just helps demonstrate my point.Ghegs wrote:They need to be unlocked on GX, then they'll show up on AX.theclaw wrote:Another difference from real AX, is the AX vehicles are not unlocked.

I updated the OP a bit.
The fact that there's random stuff missing honestly makes this find all the more curious and interesting. I wonder if the missing stuff is still hidden on the disc somewhere?

F-Zero AX unlock in F-Zero GX
Maybe rename the OP Title to something like I named this Reply? This leaves it a little more open ended to help cut down on the negative disputes and just get to the point of the Thread, a recent hidden huge discovery in an older game. Might also post the AR codes right in the OP for a quick reference?AppleQueso wrote:I updated the OP a bit.

I agree with most, but not all of the points quoted in the OP concerning what is missing as 100% accurate though. For instance, has the LAN feature been verified to not be there by actually hooking up two Gamecubes together with both FZeros in the AX mode?

Ive not been able to find anyone who can verify if the LAN mode is there or not. As for this not being the complete AX, it could be there just not unlocked yet. Regardless, eventually AX will run in Dolphin and then this wont matter.
