Sadly I don't think they have ever gone that low up here in canada land.Stark wrote:I have a 32Gb and only (yeah, yeah) paid $80 shipped. The lowest I've seen it was $65 in the Sony store during Black Friday.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Stumbled on a Vita stand at a store for the first time. I have 3DS XL. The OLED didn't actually leave notable impression on me, but does give bit intensity and life to the image. But the PPI... Vita actually has respectable and reasonable PPI for a new handheld today. 3DS PPI is only barely acceptable, I don't understand why Nintendo went with it. XL intensifies it and there's bit of a difference in hue of the screens on XL. These things make it so cheap looking. Big plus for the anti-glare on the XL though... only on upper screen though, another thing makes inconsistency between the screens.
The d-pad is god-like. I thought it was not possible anymore to design a good d-pad for some reason, but somehow Sony did it this time. Analog stick surprised with their short travel and small size, but I adjusted quickly. They had some magicians working on the controls in this age when physical controls don't seem to mean anything to anybody. But one complaint there is and it's how close the analog sticks are to face buttons. Perhaps it's matter of getting used to, don't know. I liked Motorstorm RC, Wipeout and others. Looked great compared to 3DS and much more capturing than 3DS I would say. Too bad 3DS is getting many of the good games. I'm fine with that, but maybe someday I'll get the Vita. The interest of western indie companies is very positive, and console ports are not so bad thing at all, especially for someone without a HD console. Those combined with Japanese "otaku" and experimental games and PSP & PSX games, I'd be quite content as Vita owner. Though it's hard to believe any portable gamer would skip 3DS with the games it's getting, too much good stuff.

I'm sure anyone who is interested has heard by now, but Atelier Totori Plus was released today. It was never even announced to be coming to the US. Just showed up on the PSN store.
Will probably buy, but $40 for digital only is steep. May wait for a price drop. And who knows? They didn't announce the digital release. For all I know it could be getting a physical release in a few weeks.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I am now planning to play this today/early tomorrow since the save file from the demo transfers to the full game if/when you buy it. I wish more demos (especially for RPGs) had this feature. I have high hopes for this one...http://www.vg247.com/2013/03/04/soul-sa ... st-inside/Opa Opa wrote:We get a demo for Soul Sacrifice on the 16th.

Got a Vita for $100 today. Perks of working at a repair shop. Doesn't need repair. Sometimes people just bring in things to sell. Going to give it to a friend at cost.
