Yeah that PAL code has an apparent problem. It works in emulators, but isn't accepted by the US Action Replay version I tried.

We probably won't know more until someone with a PAL AR steps up.

I tried converting the PAL code into Gecko/Ocarina format so I could use it on my Wii, but it didn't work. Not sure if I did something wrong with it (haven't played around with these codes at all, outside enabling Classic Controller support for DKCR) or if the code's the culprit.

Thanks for the headsup, now Ill be playing DKCR.

Ontopic, I tried to run it on Dolphin and could not get it to work. I also discovered that my machine can barely run Fzero GX (30ish FPS is not good enough for playing this game).

Who knows? You'd probably have to test that out yourself...
Video shows GP and Time attack as the only options. Ill have to play around with it and see if it can be enabled.

Edit:
Had to refresh my memory. Fzero AX will only show VS on the menu if you have two to four cabs hooked up. I might fire up dolphin on two pcs tonight and give this a try. If so, screw all of my other projects (sans painting the house).
The general public just doesn't understand AX as much as they think.

People are touting this code to be something it isn't.

I'll be happy to update the OP with some better info if Lum doesn't mind elaborating a bit more.

Well the title screen says GX for one. And where are the test/service menus?

This is very interesting. I have two Broadband adapters and two Gamecubes, but only one FZero GX. You are tempting me to buy a second copy of the game. I personally have tried the AR unlock and the game starts out at the Arcade Motion Cab warning screen followed by the AX selection screen. Maybe something in the game coding when in the AX unlock; might pick up the LAN hookup with a second game set to AX unlock?

@ theclaw - Have you tried the AR unlock yourself? I think if the Service Menus would appear as if on a real cab (maybe a hidden by a button combo), this would be a very nice discovery. It will prove the entire Arcade AX is emulated and not just coding. Even if not fully emulated, Just maybe the LAN capability is there, only one way to be sure.

Another difference from real AX, is the AX vehicles are not unlocked.

This mode isn't "entire" by any stretch of the word.
