RPG Progress Report
Re: RPG Progress Report
I'm on the final boss of the main playthrough of EO IV. I gave the boss a shot last night before going to bed and got killed; I've got some ideas of how to approach it when I get home from work. Then it'll be time to do the postgame content.

I think I beat the final boss in Persona 4 on the good ending and now I'm just working through some post game stuff? Or who knows...

Re: RPG Progress Report
I just finished the 3rd chapter of Shining Force 3. I am enjoying the game, but it seems slower than the first two, both of which I have played through a couple of times.
I do have some questions for those who have played:
1) I have grinded/powerleveled in the previous two SF games, what level should I wait to promote in SF3? I was thinking level 16ish.
2) At what time should I stop playing the US release and put in the fan translated version to see the real ending? I would guess the last chapter.

1) Your favorite characters you probably want to wait til level 20, since you get to reuse them in Part III at some point, so you want them to have the best stats possible.SpaceBooger wrote:1) I have grinded/powerleveled in the previous two SF games, what level should I wait to promote in SF3? 2) Definitely the last chapter. In fact, you could wait until the last battle (you'll know it's the last because it's the most involved battle you've ever done)

I was getting discouraged since everyone is getting only 1 XP after level 11. As long as it's worth the wait, I'll wait even if I don't plan on playing the other scenarios soon.

I am 26 hours into Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GC), and I am thinking that it is starting to drag a bit. 90+ hours in Persona 4 sounds ridiculous to me right now. (That said, I dropped over 120 hours into DQ9 last year...and I would have put in more if I had not forced myself to quit.)

At 26 hours in you should be closing in on the end of that game now though right?prfsnl_gmr wrote:

Right now I am at the very threshold of the final area of Final Fantasy (from FF1 & 2 on GBA). I don't think I even made it this far on the NES. It is finally time for the Temple of Fiends, revisited!

Re: RPG Progress Report
I think so. I am taking my time with it (doing all of the sidequests, completing the tattle log, etc.), but I have gathered five of the seven crystal stars. I suspect that I am approaching the end and that another ten hours or so will probably do it.alienjesus wrote:At 26 hours in you should be closing in on the end of that game now though right?prfsnl_gmr wrote:
