Hi all,
I own a PAL Megadrive console which has had a switchless mod done to it that enables it top play PAL, US and Japanese cartridges at their correct speeds and in 50 or 60hz as appropriate.
I'd like to buy Gynoug/Wings of Wor for it but don't know which is the "best" version for it. PAL, US or Jpn?
Thanks,
Ant

Yep, I picked up a PAL copy and it plays fine with plenty speed. Great game too!

Re: MD game speed - region question
Most games are intended for 60hz.
PAL sticker doesn't necessarily mean anything, a game could still have the same data chip.
Yeah MD allows 4 region settings. But 50hz in Japanese gets very little use.

Lum fan.
Re: MD game speed - region question
That sorta makes sense. My pal cart plays under US and PAL setting with no discernable differences to me.
