What was the last movie you've seen?

Dear god, I think her arm has more ink on it than the average student paper i get.

Kat Von D sounds like a man, has the shoulders of a line backer, and smells like an ash tray. That and she is a home wrecking racist. Barf.

Seems kinda random to keep this going in the film thread. Maybe move it to the metal thread to discuss tattoos and female lead singers?

Finding Forrester. It is one of my absolute favorite Connery movies and just has a great showing. My wife had never seen it before and came in while I was watching it, sat down and watched the rest of the film. It just sucks you in if you enjoy classic literacy, or have ever claimed to be a writer.

Great movie, but I think Shrek 2 is better. I didn't like 3, and I thought 4 was pretty good.Luke wrote:SHREK

Completely agree. Just watched this again recently with my girls (it has more adult humor in it then I remembered, but not enough for me to freak out about it) and I still loved it. One of Eddie Murphy's best performances in my book.Luke wrote:SHREK

Most of the "adult" jokes will go completely unnoticed to kids, which is part of what makes Shrek so great. It really is "Fun for the whole family" and has something for everyone. And any movie that can make Smashmouth not annoying is fine by me.Stark wrote: Completely agree. I agree with you on Eddie Murphy, but no matter how many times I watch Shrek I still kinda wait for the Donkey to say "What the Fuck is going on now, Shrek?". Any Murphy tirade is usually full of f-bombs and my ears have been trained to associate his voice with foul language.
And oh man, that scene with the gingerbread man is probably the funniest "I shouldn't be laughing at this" scenes in animated history. I mean, the guy is getting tortured but you can't stop laughing. The only thing that would have made it more over the top would to have "Milk-boarded" the living cookie.

Yeah that's a great scene. John Lithgow seems really underrated as a comedian for some reason, I think his delivery and timing are excellent.Luke wrote:And oh man, that scene with the gingerbread man is probably the funniest "I shouldn't be laughing at this" scenes in animated history. One of my favorite scenes is Shrek likening himself to an onion and Donkey suggesting it should be parfaits instead, because "ain't nobody don't like no partfaits, parfaits is delicious!"
