You have some major stones. I could not even imagine playing WC on a standard 3-button Genesis controller.

6-button. But yeah. Pretty impressive stones.Luke wrote:noiseredux wrote:I've popped in the Sega CD version twice now, but I haven't had the time to make heads or tails of this game.

In what's probably at least fifty playthroughs of the game I've beaten Kurasawa 2 twice myself.Hatta wrote:If you're having trouble getting started, play in the simulator for a while. No ships to escort, no wingman to get blown up. Just simple dog fighting. You'll get the hang of it.
You probably have no choice but to lose Kurosawa. It takes a lot of luck to prevent destruction of the ship you're supposed to save. I never have. The impossible mission is Kurosawa II I think, so it's worth going if you want to play Kurosawa I.
Yeah, I have the 3rd game in the series on 3DO, and it's very confusing trying to remember all the button combos for the game. I think the A,B and C buttons have alternate functions depending if you're holding down L, R, select or some combination of two of those buttons.noiseredux wrote:6-button. But yeah. I'll agree with that. Entering Kurasawa now. Saw 2 YouTube videos -- one video said your primary mission should be changed to "Eject" for Kurasawa 2, the other went through the mission flawlessly. I guess it's just a lot of luck (and taunts and afterburner usage)Gunstar Green wrote:Anyway it's cool to see both the winning and losing paths because of the little intermission sequences that play between systems. It really shows the effect you're having on the war. Success or failure to get important supplies to your troops changes the outcome of decisive battles.

Haha, yeah. I've heard people describe the mission as being there just so you can have an excuse to earn the medal you get for ejecting.ExedExes wrote:I'll agree with that. Entering Kurasawa now. I've been saving it for such an occasion, after getting frustrated enough as I will be soon for sure. Rostov doesn't look so bad after all, no escort missions!!!Gunstar Green wrote:Haha, yeah.
