FFV English Repro from FFV SFC Cart

Post by Amplibax »

I've been finding bits and pieces of info on people making using original SFC games to make repros of games rather than using sports games as donors, but I haven't been able to find out any specifics.

I want use a Japanese FFV SFC cart as a donor for a rom translation of FFV. I'm looking for information as to which Eproms I should use and the pinout for the attaching the eproms to the game pcb.

A link to a guide would be really helpful if it exists.

I don't know of a guide, but you should message Ziggy587 in case he does not see this.

Information overload:

Easy way:

Trouble is getting stock. I picked up two, and the adapter so I could use the chips in my SuperPro 3000U. As a test over the weekend, I turned a Madden 95 in to Earthbound. Damn thing saved and everything.
