Those Yobo controllers are surprisingly nice.CRTGAMER wrote: NES Super 8 Pads -$3.00/5.00 BookOff
Two different BookOffs at different prices. Nice size of the dogbone approach with auto fire buttons.
And the cool thing about the Yobo clone console is that it also accepts real NES controllers.

Often use it to collect finds, means I can indulge in 2 hobbles at once
Visited 8 charity shops in 2 different places today and found nothing
Hoping to get to some boot sales tomorrow

Goodwill find today!
We got a call from our local Goodwill lookout...He advised that a box of game related stuff came in that he was about to price and put out of the floor and asked if we wanted first dibs.... Uh, DUH! We were there in 5 minutes. This is what he had:

PS1: Chess, Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets, and Bomberman
N64: Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing and Pokemon Stadium.
PS2: Band Hero, Midway Arcase treasures 2, Sims 2, The Urbz, DDR Extreme2, and Guitar Hero III.
Game Cube: Animal Crossing, Sonic Adventure Battle 2, Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life, Pokemon Coluseum, Spyro Hero's Tale & Enter the Dragonfly, Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut

Unfortunately, just a standard jumper pack, but the two controllers make up for it! Not pictured, but was in the box... A black DS lite (charger included!) with Zelda Spirit Tracks in it! (Due to dumpster diving, I had the case and manual for the Zelda game to complete it!)
Total cost for this Goodwill haul? $22.50 tax included!
No pics, but I also went dumpster diving at Gamestop. I got 58 DS cases with liners and manuals, 10 PS2 cases w/liners and manuals. A surprise was a beat up copy of Soul Calibur IV for the XBox 360 (complete!). The disc was bad off. A two minute buff and it works just fine...They had just did their media change-over, so I got a ton of posters and signage too (for Destiny, Army of Two, ect!)
Dumpster diving = Free stuff... Gotta love that! It was a banner day.
Oh, and WCLEM and I reached a milestone (not reported cuz I havent been on in a while...). We reached over 5000 games!

Good find! I saw NTSCJ Neverhood 2 for the PS1 at BookOff today and passed on it. Really wish it were the first one.emwearz wrote:Damn! Wish I could find a copy of The Neverhood on the cheap. Well done.eSPy wrote:All for $12nzd from the dump.
A couple of great ideas! You know you are a little nuts on games when Goodwill actually gives you a personal call like that, congrats!MrsWclem wrote:We got a call from our local Goodwill lookout...Total cost for this Goodwill haul? $22.50 tax included!

Yea, I have spies EVERYWHERE!!
It pays to chat up the workers and helps when you are sincerely friendly.... A tip? Use Vistaprint and have business cards printed with your "wants" and a contact email. I pass them out all the time at garage sales, thrift stores, ect. You can get some great hits that way!
Thanks!!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Goodwill:
Donkey Kong Country SNES: $1.50
Mario All-Stars SNES: $5.00
Resident Evil: Director's Cut PS1 (Greatest Hits): $4.00
Vagrant Story PS1 (Black Label): $12.00
The DKC is possibly the ugliest/dirtiest cartridge I've ever seen. Both plastic halves shift when you squeeze them together, and it's discolored, and dirty. Hopefully it works.
Edit: It works!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Pretty good finds! I once got EVO in a box of groady games with a destroyed SNES system. It was a bundle of games with the system....for $15....They were dirty, but the best way to get the deals sometimes!storino03 wrote:Goodwill:

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Remember that time I said I went to a yard sale and found a Dreamcast arcade stick in box for $10 and passed it up? Probably not. But today, at least a few months later, I went to another yard sale only to find that same lady and that same Dreamcast stick, apparently I was just bound to buy the damn thing. haha Ended up paying $7.
