What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Smile: Going antiquing (laugh all you want) and record shopping after lunch. Hopefully I'll score some goofus or carnival glass (again, feel free to laugh).

I've mentioned this before, but I really want a fake Rolex, just to tell people "Yeah, it's totally fake". Maybe I'll find one today. Probably not. Wish I lived closer to Canal Street.

Frown: I rarely post in FB, but today I posted "Daily Reminder: Purchase feeble public access show and exploit it" and so far zero of my friends got the reference.

There is nothing wrong with antiquing. There is some cool stuff to find that way.

Anyway, getting a haircut. Not smiling or ticked, just getting a haircut.

Well, I love art deco, so antiquing is the best way for me to acquire pieces. My only issue with antiquing is that either a piece is way over priced, or is a complete steal. But it is a chore, no doubt about it. Dating the pieces requires more time that it should, and I even bring a black light when shopping to make sure Uranium glass contains Uranium.

Plus, it's always nice to test my face to face negotiation skills.

I've had the same Korean lady cut my hair for about a decade, and I LOVE her. Love her bandolier of scissors, love her massages, love the way she calls me "Ruke", love how she cuts my wife's hair too. It's a little much, but I don't mind tipping her $15 for each visit as she gives some of the best massages, will let me bump other appointments, gives me free product, and once in a while she'll brush her nipples across my face.

It's like people only do things because they get paid. And that's just really sad.

We got back from the Outer Banks on Thursday. We've been busy ever since we got back because...

She said yes! It was an absolute perfect trip, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Unrelated: lol, Luke, you cracked me up with the lady who cuts your hair.
