Good bit of melodeath right 'chere.

*cough*understandable vocals *cough*

Just poking fun at this point, and in the last post I wasn't upset or anything. Apple Queso, (hell I feel awkward typing that) those bands you suggested were along the lines of what I like vocals wise.

These worst metal album covers threads on the Metal Archives always crack me up.

EDIT: Some NSFW gross, gory stuff on there.

Other than the fantastic Despise the Sun EP, you didn't miss much. New album is pretty swell though.

Glad you like them, at least vocally. Bolt Thrower kicks all kinds of ass.

A couple of thoughts after surfing the Metal Archives earlier:

1. Varg Vikernes is completely insane (some NSFW pics).
2. A new Ruins of Beverast album is dropping soon. So stoked, this is probably my favorite (current) black metal band.

I'm sorry, but Varg should just stop. Because murder, racism, hate and bigotry are okay, but being promiscuous is wrong. Some of the idealism in Black Metal is so random and off the wall.

I like pre-electronica Ulver. Can't say much else for black metal, I'm not a fan of black metal vocals. I dunno.

Bergtatt is one of the best black metal albums of all time. Kveldssanger and Nattens madrigal aren't too shabby either. Once they started to get "experimental" I lost interest. I bought Themes from William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell way back in high school and sold it after one listen.

Pretty much how I feel. I liked the themes about Lycanthropy and such in some songs.

I've always liked the idea of a melodeath or folk metal band doing concept albums about Lycanthropy or Werewolves where the human side is represented by clean singing and the beast is represented by harsh vocals. Throw in songs named "Hunger" and "Blood Lust". It would be amazing.

I like everything Ulver has made, Black Metal or not. They are pure talent.
