Braid or Castle Crashers?

Post by Droid party »

I bought 2000 points so I could buy Galaga Legions so now I have 1200 points to burn and while I will buy both, I'm not sure which to buy now.

I have both and while there both great I would suggest Braid. Its looks like a living painting and the gameplay is very innovative. If your looking for something different try Braid theres nothing like it. I sure hope Micro$oft releases a compilation disk of the best of Xbox live I know its a long shot but a man can dream.

Castle Crashers. I've played tons of Castle Crashers, and I would rate it as one of my top five games on the Xbox 360, disc-based or download. I played the Braid demo three times, and never understood what the fuss was about. Sure, it's beautiful, with an obvious heap of love and labour in creating it, but it was tedious instead of fun. Character design seemed phoned in. The rewind feature allowed for difficult levels and puzzles that, rather than being challenging, were boring and repetitive.

Since you've asked for additional input beyond the demos available on Xbox Live Arcade, I suggest you buy Castle Crashers first.

Buy Castle Crashers

Braid has some of the best puzzle platforming ever and great music and graphics. The story is nice and all, but it seems to have no relation to the gameplay and comes off as a bit pretentious as a result. Still nice to see someone attempt a nice story in this genre though. Thing is, Braid can be beaten in a day if you're particularly clever and then you'll never play it again(I haven't). It's short and sweet

Castle Crashers has multiple playable characters, a fairly deep combat system, two difficulty settings, lots of weapons and animals to find, and enough little details and secrets to make you replay it multiple times. Plus, beating the crap out of people never gets old while Braid has nothing to offer once you know the puzzle solutions

They're both awesome but CC has more replayability.

Downloaded Castle Crashers the other day. Alien Hominid on the consoles was great, and so is this.

Now I need to find out what to do with these other 400 Microsoft points left over

So - has Droid party bought Braid yet? I would suspect that he's still stuck on Castle Crashers...

Haven't bought Braid yet. And yes Castle crashers is fucking awesome, especially in multi player.

However most of my xbla time is still going to Galaga. I wasn't ready for how much fun that game would be. Braids cause is not helped that things are a little hectic for me at the moment so Galaga is even better for it's ability for pick and play with whatever little spare time I may have lately.Man I love that game.
