We started "Spaced" on the recommendation from this thread - 3 episodes in and very funny, as is expected w/Simon Pegg.

We'll probably give Star Trek TNG another couple nights after this one is over.

Spaced gets alittle silly in the second season, but it is still quite good.

If you don't make it through all of ST: TNG, at least watch "Inner Light" in season 5. It is Patrick Stewart's and Will Wheaton's favorite episode (along with many Star Trek fans), and was written by a fan of the series with little modification to the original script. Also, all of the episodes with Q tend to be enjoyable.

Whatever you do, stick it out past the first two seasons. I love TNG, but the first two seasons are largely crap. I wouldn't blame you if you skipped them entirely, but watch the first two episodes so you'll better understand the last two episodes. The series finale is some of the finest TV ever, bar none.

I watched the whole series twice in a row.
I was coming here just to say that. I remembered about it because they just added the movies to Netflix.

Has anyone seen House of Cards? It's actually a Netflix original, a first for them.

I've not seen it, but I have a friend who I trust his taste say it is amazing.

Bob's Burgers, best animated series to have aired by Fox since Futurama.

Don't know if it would your thing just recommending it to everyone that hasn't watched it.

Luke wrote:How someone can recommend The Kids in the Hall* and then recommend The Cleveland show blows my brains.

Get Fawlty Towers, How I met Your Mother, Monk, Columbo, Married With Children, and the first few seasons of The Cosby Show, The Office and Roseanne and you'll be set.

*Kids in the Hall was awesome.
Admittedly, The Cleveland Show is the weakest of Seth McFarland's three series (and also the weakest of all the comedies I mentioned), but it's still funny. Count me as one of the many that said "they're doing a Cleveland spinoff?" when I first heard about it. The first couple of episodes kinda stunk (much like American Dad), but it got much better after that (much like American Dad). Does anyone want to back me up on this one?

*Oh, and Kids in the Hall is awesome. I still need to watch Death Comes to Town.
