Maybe it's possible to boot Emulators with a small Linux from a USB Drive or CD/DVD. Somthing like Damn Small Linux, so you don't have to install a hole Linux distribution on HDD. Have anybody heard of it?

I think if you could run Linux via Usb you can use easily programms such Emulators without installing linux to hdd. That would be nice. Just install otheros and then plug in USB and playing Emulators

No, what i'm saying is that emulation for the PS3 through linux is so poor there's not much point. Linux on the PS3 is pointless unless you want to browse the net, write some emails or other basic things like that. The gpu is locked out by hipervisor so video/emulation can only be done in cpu. Since the CELL is very poorly optimised on practically all programs, performance sucks.

It's too bad. PS3 could be a great emulation machine.
