Re: RPG Progress Report
Just finished up Jeanne d'Arc, and it was a decent little game. Perhaps a little less epic than I would've liked, but a solid fun game. I think I need an RPG and SRPG break for now though, whilst I wait for the UK release of Fire Emblem Awakening!
Re: RPG Progress Report
I just got to Chapter 5 in Arcana, which I believe is the final one. Rooks is level 35, and I've been buying the best equipment and then spending money on honey(primarily endurance honey to bolster my defense). Any know how high a stat can go? Because if it's 255, I may reach that cap between leveling and endurance honey(Rooks' is 195 currently).

I'm at the boss door of the 3rd Maze in Etrian Odyssey IV. Interestingly the map makes me think there's more to the level; maybe he runs after I fight him, or I kill a weak version and the parent is deeper in the maze.

Had to give in to sleep last night on the final (or one of the final?) boss in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. If he's anything like the battle before it, or even a bit harder, he should be a pushover.
Don't laugh, but this will be the first JRPG I've ever finished. It's kind of exciting, but I am more excited to start a game with some more meat to it, I found Dark Dawn too easy and the "puzzles" were way too simple and repetitive. Alright game, I get it, you have lot's of powers that I can use all the time to push blocks and grow vines. Just cause I can do it doesn't make it fun to just do it over and over again. Kind of sad that if you removed all the block pushing and psi power drudgery in the dungeons the game would probably be half as long.

There's a reason people say it's an 80-100 hour game.Stark wrote:Dude does Persona 4 ever end????![]()

Re: RPG Progress Report
I am currently passing where I left off on Lost Odyssey originally, up to the start of the third disc after the snow mountains or whatever. Kind of funny how fast I got up to this point already, considering it took me like two years randomly playing the game the first time through to get this far... haha. But I read those long "dream" segments, which were really good, but I'm skipping them this time around and I think that's helping keep me focused and interested. Definitely a great game.
