Hey Racketeers, I got a Beta invite to a game for you

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Hey Racketeers, I got a Beta invite to a game for you

Post by PacoDG »

Earlier I posted a preview of a game called JamLegend.

Well I have been in contact with one of the guys behind the game, and I thought I only had like 50 invites or something, but I got like 500. So if you want to just try a rhythm game out.. the thing is in flash! So no excuse that you don't have the right pc requirements (unless you are viewing these boards on your phone).

Beta invite link.

Trailer for the game.

My quick preview (which I re-read and failed to mention that JamLegend had added achievements).

My thoughts exactly.

Cool game. (wish I had made this game when I had the idea a year or so ago though...)

Needs better songs though.

Also it's far too easy even on Hard...

About the songs, it seems they are going the "indie" route, which isn't too bad, as I know some bands on MySpace that should submit some of their work to the JamLegend people (good exposure I would think, I know from Guitar Hero and Rock Band I have found some cool bands).

If keyboard isn't your thing, someone on NeoGAF got their Strat to work with something called Xpadder (I guess to just map the keys to the guitar).

Glad you guys liked the game, I thought it was a neat idea so contacted the site to see if I could get some invites out, good guys to come through on my site that isn't exactly in the realm of Destructoid/Joystiq/Kotaku etc.

joy2key should let you remap the buttons aswell. Rhythm games are not really my bag, but it does look pretty good.
