After only a handful of tries I bested my old score (and dsh's!) in Arabian Nights tonight. Thought I had a clue what to do when you square off for the Princess but still lost.

Also the Star Wars Zen Pinball tables came out this week. While I absolutely prefer the physics and tables of Pinball Arcade, these are pretty good. I do think their constant letter gathering to spell out words (you must have to spell 20 different words in Empire Strikes Back) is played out.

The Pinball Arcade devs, FarSight Studios, will be at the Texas Pinball Festival this weekend in Dallas. FarSight will have games running on multiple platforms, and I heard they were considering a tournament of some sort at the festival. We'll see.

If any of you are near enough to attend, it will be well worth the effort.
As for the physical pins: The count machines shows a total of 377. We will have 316 pinball machines, of which 222 are unique titles. We will have 59 arcade machines, of which 50 are unique.

I'm taking Friday off and will be working the tournament area for a few hours. I'll be playing for the rest of the weekend all over the conference hall.
Systems: Pong, Odyssey2, Atari 2600, NES, CDX, SNES, N64, Saturn, DC, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, GCN, Wii, Xbox360, OUYA
Handhelds: GB, GBC, GBA, DS lite, DSi, Virtual Boy (<< is that even a portable?)
EM Pinballs: Bally Dixieland, Gottlieb Flying Carpet
SS Pinball: GTB Circus, GTB Count-Down, GTB Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Stern Lectronamo, Stern Galaxy, Bally Black Pyramid

Pacman Pinball Advance (GBA) is another fine portable pinball experience. I am glad many companies embraced the GBA as a way to make some good titles there. Plus, Professor Pacman makes a long awaited return!

I finally spent some time on the Nights table on the GBA Sonic Pinball Party the other night. I liked it! I managed to clear 2 boss levels, before getting too tired to play more.
I don't want to bog down the thread with a bunch of IRL pinball stuff, but the Texas Pinball Festival was last weekend. FarSight was there.

They are still waiting on some signatures to officially clear up the bankruptcy issues before any tables can be released for XBL. :( They are looking at all options to get content out for the 360. I'd be happy if there was physical media, but I won't hold my breath.
Anyway, they are a great bunch of people, and I was very happy to see them at our show again this year.
They had some Cactus Canyon shirts for swag, and they gave me one. They also had a PSP, PS3 on a 3D TV (it was pretty neat), and some other devices all running games. They even had a iPad on an iCade playing the game.

From what I understand, Pinball Arcade for the PC just got the Steam Greenlight -- so when the final details are finished and it gets released, you know I'll be joining you.

Man, GBC Super Robot Pinball is awesome. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing yet, but it's great.

8 tables, $6. Seems like a no brainer. Always wanted to try this one out...
