I am waiting for this too, I would like to see some new IPs . But I am not too excited, because I have been waiting each year for them to announce something for the Wii but that time never came. The only games that are worthwhile were the Zeldas and Mario Galaxy. In fact , I like to use Mario Galaxy 2 as an argument that Nintendo had nothing to offer, so for probably the first time ever they released 2 Mario games in a single generation

It wasn't the first generation Nintendo had released more than one Mario game on a console, although admittedly it's not something they've done on home consoles in a while. The handheld consoles have basically all had multiple Mario games though.kingmohd84 wrote:AppleQueso wrote:Hopefully Nintendo really brings it at E3. Sick of Nintendo Land. My friends and I just killed it by playing it so much. Still a very fun game.. But just not something I want to play for a long time. Sonic Racing is great, but I think I am going to get it on the Vita instead. A friend of mine still has the Wii U version so we can still do multiplayer over there. More likely to play it on the go. Scribblenauts was fun for a few hours. TTT2 I want to pick up on PS3 instead so I can use my arcade sticks. And ZombiU is solid. I am hopeful for a ZombiU sequel with some tweaked (but hopefully still challenging) combat mechanics.

Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3? Did you actually forget those?kingmohd84 wrote:AppleQueso wrote:Hopefully Nintendo really brings it at E3. They need to show games worth buying the system for, and plenty of them.

Plus the arcade Mario Bros. game saw a port to the same console, as well as a Mario's Time Machine port and Mario is Missing. And then there is Japan's version of Mario 2.AppleQueso wrote:Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3? Did you actually forget those?kingmohd84 wrote:AppleQueso wrote:Hopefully Nintendo really brings it at E3. And then there was Super Mario World, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and the Super Mario All-Stars series on the SNES, as well as the Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World collection and Super Mario RPG, Mario's Time Machine, the Mario's Early Years series, etc.

I'm assuming he's just counting the 'main' Mario titles, i.e. SNES only having World, 64 only having 64, Gamecube only having Sunshine, etc.Ack wrote:Plus the arcade Mario Bros. game saw a port to the same console, as well as a Mario's Time Machine port and Mario is Missing. Point still stands either way though, Galaxy 2 wasn't at all the first time multiple mainline Mario titles appeared on the same console in the same generation.

Why is SMW2 not a "main" Mario title?AppleQueso wrote: I'm assuming he's just counting the 'main' Mario titles, i.e. SNES only having World, 64 only having 64, Gamecube only having Sunshine, etc.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Yoshi's Island is a pretty drastic departure in gameplay, Mario isn't the main playable character, etc. Not like it really matters, though.Stark wrote:Why is SMW2 not a "main" Mario title?AppleQueso wrote: I'm assuming he's just counting the 'main' Mario titles, i.e. SNES only having World, 64 only having 64, Gamecube only having Sunshine, etc.
