Well, personally I don't use VGA. I assumed it was mostly for a preservation thing. They seal it in some UV protected case. I also thought it was to have a universally decided grade for your games. Having a 90+ graded game in your collection would be a lot more satisfying than having a 70, or whatever the grade increments are.

Also the grade, as far as i've seen, doesn't even reflect the price a lot, does it? In my experience following these "auctions", the grade, unless horrible, means nothing. Only the fact that it's "VGA graded" inflates the price to ridiculous levels.

I think Sealed collectors aren't fair to the people who PLAY GAMES

Why wouldn't that be fair to people who play games? If all you're doing it playing them and don't care about collecting, then flashcarts should suffice.

Also what about people who are buying sealed games that are still sitting on store shelves? Is that offensive to you?

I don't collect sealed games but to get offended at people who do, I find a little odd.

You guys don't understand. There's a correct way of collecting games and VGA grading isn't part of it.

Ask me the correct way. I've got answers.

Again, why should VGA be held responsible for the actions of third-party resellers?

Fuck you if you're going to conflate collecting with hoarding. They're pretty distinctly different.

Obviously. Because autographs are not part of the product manufactured.

VGA is grading an item's condition and authenticity, rather than any market value or lack thereof.

So I've tried not to go post by post and rebuke every point, but since it's been repeated, I can't not reply to one factual inaccuracy.

Autographs do not force a grade to 70 or lower. See for example the current auction for a Twin Snakes signed by its creators (item ID 140921262206).
