OK chances are this Power Pad is probably busted, but since I don't know much about it I thought I'd ask before returning it.
Power Pad itself is in good physical shape. I put an appropriate game in, like World Class Track Meet or Super Team. Power Pad is hooked up. What do I step on the pad to start the games or get to a menu? I've tried all the buttons. And yes I'm using Side B. Is there a trick about this thing? Or is this pad dead?

Re: NES Power Pad help?
I'm guesstimating but does a regular NES controller Start the game plugged in player 1 port? Arkanoid does this when using the paddle in the second port.

Ahhh oh my goodness obviously! Duh on me. I tried it with just a regular controller in port 1 or the pad in port 1. I never thought I'd have to put a regular controller in port 1 and the pad in port 2.CRTGAMER wrote:I'm guesstimating but does a regular NES controller Start the game plugged in player 1 port? Why didn't I try that. Now I feel dumb. You'll have to forgive me, I haven't touched a NES in about 15 years.
WELLLL thank you very much.

Don't feel so bad, I had the same situation with Arkanoid. The game starts with the launch button, but could not figure how to select two players until I plugged the regular Dpad into the other port. I won't give the long story on Atari 2600 Tac Scan, but it gave me a real headache to get the game working.rocketcat wrote:Ahhh oh my goodness obviously! Duh on me. Re: NES Power Pad help?
I know I would have made the exact same mistake, I was given a Power Pad a couple weeks ago and havent tried it out yet but I would have assumed it was broken.
