I'm finally playing this!

Dunpeal2064 -221,460 - Area 9 - NES

Once I finish this one up I'll have to give the arcade and PCE ports a try, as I am actually enjoying this game more than I thought I would.

Edit:

Dunpeal2064 - 249,950 - Area 9 - NES

Should have had it, but hadn't seen all of stage 9 yet, so flew into a few dead-ends.

Dunpeal2064 - 290,570 - ALL - NES

I didn't do any milking in this run, as I just wanted to see if I could clear it, so the score isn't all that. I'll probably just stick with this score though, and try out the other versions before the month is up.

Thanks again to bossman Mike for hooking me up with this cart.

Edit: Sorry if someone already mentioned this, but are we playing the "NewVersion" of Dragon Spirit in Mame?

That is correct, it is also the version on Namco Museum. Congrats on your NES completion, too bad we couldn't top that amazing score!

Drats, the month is at the end already, and I won't have time for gaming until midnight! :(

I hope you guys enjoyed my selection, except for EllertMichael, who apparently has too many socks to be blown off.

Op> I loved it. The arcade music is just great. Well worth the Psn Namco Museum price of $5.

It's a classic, and it made me drag out my NES again. That was worth it, I love old shmups! But, I am also looking forward to AG.

I loved it too, even the music on the ports was real nice. From what I read, the composer Shinji Hosoe went on to do music for CyberSled and Ridge Racer and moved on to Arika for Street Fighter EX.
