Just bought Soul Reaver off of GOG for PC, and it sucks if you want to use a gamepad, i tried using my PC Xbox 360 controller but the NPC just spins around because it doesnt support analog controls very well, even if you get Joy2Key, or Xpadder, it still sucks.

Ended up picking the DC version off ebay, it has the best graphics and controls out of PS1/DC/PC, it controls like Mario 64, where you push the analog stick forward and you slowly go from a walk to a run.

Also picked up Legacy of Kain: Defiance for PS2.

Playing Blood Omen from PSN on PS3 at the moment, moving to Blood Omen 2 on PS2 next.

Great series with a dark story!

The XRGB showed up! Yay! It's smaller than I expected.

Man it's pretty damn nice. I like how the scanline options aren't too overbearing, They don't really look like emulator scanlines, it just gives the whole image a very CRTish look.

Too sleepy to rewire the RGB21 port thing to accept Euro Scart, but N64, NES, and Wii looked pretty nice via the S-Video, Composite, and D/Component ports respectively.

Gonna play around with the settings on this thing more when I wake up.

I wouldn't say Fail, because yes, there is some discussion on how games are sealed, such as what shape are the seams in, how to tell that a game hasn't been resealed or bootlegged, etc. These guys would be at least as interested in rooting out fakes and reproductions, and they are likely even more concerned about fraudulent claims in the gaming marketplace.

That said, having read a bit of their forum, they don't seem particularly nice.

You don't get into something as time consuming and expensive as collecting sealed games unless you already have a passion for the hobby.

Just because you choose to have a trimmed down collection doesn't mean you need to go around taking a shit on people who actually enjoy the collecting aspect itself.

You do this all the time. What is your problem with people doing things that affect you in no way whatsoever?

Ok, ill say the same thing i always say.

Because they were meant to be played, they arent Coins/Stamps/Cards, you know things you can only LOOK at, this also goes for Exotic Cars, they were meant to be driven not sit in a show room, but obviously what i say wont change this, but that doesnt mean i cant voice my opinion on what i think is right or wrong.

An outsider could easily feel that way about this site if they read certain sections. Heck, imagine someone from that forum popping in here, thinking that "Random Gaming Thoughts" sounds cool.

I wouldn't blame them for not being nice anyway, considering they are game collectors often hated on by 90% of other game collectors. They can literally only talk to each other about their hobby, they can't forum-hop to NA, NG, Shmups, or anything like that, without getting flamed. So, it only makes sense that they would get more closed-in and defensive as this went on more.

The, "They were meant to be played" stuff is garbage. I would bet money that any collector that claims this has games sitting on their shelf that they do not play on any regular basis. Just as I would bet money that a lot of sealed game collectors still have loose games that they play.
