I listen to like maybe 10 thrash bands and Testament is one of them. The Legacy and The New Order kick ass!

They have some genuinely great tracks and one of the most talented guitarists of the era. Alex Skolnick plays most 80s thrash greats under the table.

I would rank them in the middle, with Kreator and Exodus, probably.
I only meant among the "big name" bands, basically the bands that pretty much everybody into thrash knows.
"The Gathering" is easily one of the best thrash records ever. for the most part i think testament is a little boring. i don't really care for chuck billy's vocals that much.

Large. I'll gladly reimburse you of course.

I imagine that stuff will sell out quick though, so you'd probably have to get in quick. Bolt Thrower merch is like gold or something, resellers love snatching stuff up to throw on ebay.

I love that band, have every studio album on CD.

^Quirky. I dig it. :p

I can't stop listening to this from beginning to end. Definitely buying this and one of their other albums on hard copy on my next paycheck.

I've actually listened to a few songs by Havoc about two years ago long before they got mentioned in this thread, and that was the first one I heard. While I haven't exactly become a huge fan of the band, I can never get enough of that awesome song. It's been in my ipod for quite some time

^Just now checked that video out. VERY nice! Not sure how to describe it other than they sort of remind me of a late 80's Thrash band but with just the right amount of modern touch.

Gojira - Oroborus More on the technical side.. and french!
Gammacide - Fossilized My favorite track off this 89' thrash gem. One of the greatest riffs EVER at 1:18.
3 Inches of Blood - Battles & Brotherhood Some sick riffy thrash revival.
Serpent and the Rainbow - Beyond the Darkness My friend's project he recorded in his Kitchen. Actually one of the best new things I've heard in a while (quality and originality). The main riff rivals Reign in Blood.
