Mario & Luigi: Dream Team coming to 3DS

Post by BoringSupreez »

The Mario & Luigi series isn't dead after all! The game takes place in Luigi's dreams, so I guess it's Luigi's equivalent of SMB2? Anyway, I was afraid that since the Paper Mario series had gone portable, that there wouldn't be room for the other* Mario RPG series. Happy day!

Yes I was excited to see this announcement too. Plus the fact that it takes place in Luigi's dreams, means that we are going to get a lot more jokes making fun of him, which were always my favorite ones in the previous games in the series :D

Prediction: There will be a "Dream Luigi" who's this amazingly powerful badass.

Really looking forward to this. Hopefully it doesn't come out the way Sticker Star did. I don't necessarily hate that game. I loved playing through it. Once. I just hope they don't remove the RPG element completely in place of a gimmick. That's the one thing I didn't necessarily like in the previous Mario RPG outing. Either way, it's a day one buy if I have the money ready.

The only one I played was superstar saga and I absolutely loved it. I'm planning on getting a 2DS so when that comes out I'll be sure to get this game.

This game is sooooo good

I love having full control over combat, instead of being a slave to random dice rolls.

And the game is so charming too. I generally find most standard Mario games boring, but the series has a lot more to offer when it veers from the platform game formula with games like this and Luigi's Mansion

Ended up getting the 3dsXL instead but this is the first game I got for it. I'm really enjoying it so far. The dream world is a lot of fun.

I love Luigi's reactions to things on the bottom of the screen. He brings so much charm to this game that most of the other characters, including Mario, lack.
