Bagging Video Games and Media

Post by DomitorInvictus »

Hi there.

I've been thinking of bagging my video games, DVDs and even manga in polyethylene bags. I know that Racketboy has an article on this very topic, linking to a couple of potential websites, but I am only unsure about the dimensions of the bags that I should get.

I'm mostly concerned about what size of bags/sleeves will fit extra thick DVD cases and manga.

Any suggestions?

You might need to choose ones that are just plain bigger like for comics or magazines. I've gotten things from Japan where they use one or more oversized ones, then neatly fold and tape up the excess so it fits snug.

This. Japanese stores such as BookOff bag up movies and games in very nice custom resealable bags. The comic book bag is a great idea, could be clear taped just snug enough to allow the game or movie to still be easily slid out. I bag only some of the media, the ones that are in fragile cardboard sleeves or in a tin case that can be scratched.

I'm not sure of sizes, but you should check out Bags Unlimited from Rochester, NY, they have everything you could possibly think of buying in terms of storage solutions.
