Since it uses a USB cable, and was sitting right in front of me, I plugged it in to my PC. It says 'new hardware found, PS3 controller' and then 'hardware installed ready for use' pop ups, but then it doesn't seem to work.
When I go to game pads under control panel, it lists the PS3 controller there, and when I click on its properties and go to test, no lights show up when I hit the buttons or move the joysticks.
Is there a way to get it to work, some software I can download or something? I want to use it for emulators.
PS3 controller on PC?
Re: PS3 controller on PC?
Thanks, but it doesn't seem to work. I followed the direction as it said and it didn't seem to do much of anything.
Re: PS3 controller on PC?
Hmm, that sucks. Well, the article came from Gamer's Block, and they do have a FAQ...though on further reading, it doesn't seem to have what you'll be looking for. And the links they give at the end don't work...bloody hell.
Well, here's the link anyway.
Here's a forum thread on the same topic.

Ok, I searched a bit. Here's a forum thread on what seems to be your issue. Let me know if it helps.

Re: PS3 controller on PC?
Did we ever figure out if we can get this to work? I wouldn't mind using my gamepad for shooters on the PC. I would use an arcade stick, but half of the doujin shooters have trouble with registering movement on the stick.

Re: PS3 controller on PC?
I wasn't able to get it to work, and I kinda gave up on it for the time being. I still have the files saved on my computer, and I'll probably make another attempt at it in the future.
Have you tried getting it to work yourself? If you do, let me know.
edit: Actually, I think I've completely given up. All I wanted it for was for use with NES or SNES games. I'm just gonna get a SNES USB connector.
