1. Liberation Maiden (3DS) - 1/6
2. Dead Space (360) - 1/11
3. Anarchy Reigns (360) - 1/13
4. Dead Space 2 (360) - 1/17
5. Dead Space 2: Severed DLC (360) - 1/17
6. DmC Devil May Cry (360) - 1/22
7. Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (PS3) - 2/5
8. CoD of Duty (Web) - 2/7
9. Dragon's Dogma (360) - 2/12
10. Medal of Honor: Warfighter (360) - 2/13
11. Dead Space 3 (360) - 2/18

I have mixed feelings about Dead Space 3. Ultimately I really enjoyed my experience, but I feel a lot of redesigns that were made to streamline the gameplay hurt the overall "feel" of the series. There are also multiple frustrating moments and the game teases you with really cool puzzles, and then practically hands you the solutions before you get a chance to think about them.

On the plus side the game is gorgeous with very well-designed environments and enemies. The weapons are really fun to craft, and I really liked where the story went. The gameplay was also a lot more fluid, and while this hurt the overall scare factor, it made the game a lot of fun.

I have similar thoughts on this game. I thought the story and ending were servicable and a natural progression to the series. However the
romance between Issac and Ellie was so cheesy and Norton acting like a teenage jock didn't help. Also Ellie magicly surviving the burning gas was so god damn stupid. Would have been a much better ending if she had stayed dead.
They also missed a huge opportunity with Carver and his hallucinations. They keep those only in the Co-op only side missions, but they where genuinly awesome as the player playing Issac couldn't see what the player playing Carver was seeing.

They could have used it during the regular missions to amp up the tension and horror. Especially if Issac saw his own hallucinations as well.

Not a bad installment of Mario Kart. It isn't my favorite version but it was still a blast to play. I thought some of the gameplay additions were nice like the underwater driving and the gliders. It's also pretty neat that you can unlock parts for your kart and customize them. Usually, I don't care for the 3D but I turned it on for some tracks because it just looked really awesome in the underwater segments.

I love this game, it might be simple and short but it is fun. The music also rocks! I'll have to track down the sequels on Gameboy as I've read they are even better.

You know what's funny? First time I ever played Contra I knew about the Konami code and never attempted it without the code until I was 27! I beat it within a couple of days and thought to myself "Damn! I should have tried this as a kid!"

What's upsetting is that I've never been able to finish any other Contra game - Super C, Operation C, Contra 4, you name it... I just can't do it.

I always thought that Super C, Operation C, and Contra III were marginally easier than the original Contra. Contra 4, however, is just sadistic, and Contra: Hard Corps. - as far as I can tell - is impossible without save states.

Coasting through levels is easy with a tad of patience and a spreadfire gun. In fact the last level is a cinch if you have spreadfire.

Download Contra Rebirth from the VC sometime this week. It's more "Contra" than Super C.

I agree. Taking it slow is the key to Contra, and the last level is relatively easy if you have spreadfire. If I am going to lose that game, I lose it during the level with the hydraulic presses and flame jets.

I used the Konami code in TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan. It gives you a one time health refill so I saved it towards the end.

1- Gravity Rush - Vita
2- Erst Kerf - PC
3- Resident Evil 6 - PS3
4- PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - Vita
5- Battlefield 3 - PS3
6- The Legend of Zelda - 3DS Virtual Console
7- Monster Hunter Tri - Wii

With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate coming out soon I wanted to finally finish up Tri. I only lacked about three quests so I didn't have to sink too much time in to finally beat it.

Great game! ... buuut:

A small rant w/spoilers:
The last boss fight is pretty cool except that it contradicts every other fight in the game.

Here's how a normal quest plays out: Die too much/run out of time - You Lose. Try again. Start the fight over from square one.

Final boss - Die too much, run out of time? Forget about it. The damage will carry over and you can try again.

WHAT THE FUCK?????

Talk about throwing you for a loop. This is just unheard of. Can you guys think of any other game that doesn't penalize you for losing and, in fact, makes the fight easier against the final boss? I sure can't!

Every other fight in the game gives you 55 minutes. The final encounter is only 35 minutes... had they made it the standard 55 I wouldn't have had a problem with this (I killed him at about the ten minute mark in the second encounter.)
Other than that, the game was fun.
Now I'm ready for 3 Ultimate.
