I think it does affect price, just not in a way that's easy to predict.
Imagine how expensive some of these games would be if VC/Emulation didn't exist?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
It boggles the mind now quite frankly. Of course, I have never been much of a collector - just a player who wishes for bygone days and tends to like the older games (and older style of games) better. I think original hardware and carts are great and all but I am perfectly willing to play and enjoy a modern, digital substitute that is fairly accurate/faithful to the orginal. So I fully admit that I may not "get it" when it comes to high prices for games and technology that are 20 years old.AppleQueso wrote:I think it does affect price, just not in a way that's easy to predict.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
With all the talk about Mega Man here lately, I discovered THIS WAS NEARLY RELEASED ON THE GBA?!?!?!

It would have gotten the Anniversary Collection title, but another slam dunk turned boneheaded move by Capcom on the magnitude of MM Legends 3. I understand there were mixed feelings for the earlier GB entries but I have them and I loved them.

Friend's dad is really considering selling the Famicon disc system. It has three AV outputs apparently, so i beleive its a older model. It has both Disc and cart games.
I need advice on the power any AV, is it ok to run on american stuff?

From what I've heard, it's ok to run Japanese stuff on American power, but in the long run it would be safer to get an adapter. You'll be fine running it straight to the wall until you get one though.SamuraiMegas wrote:Friend's dad is really considering selling the Famicon disc system. And be careful, that system and those discs are fragile.

In Darkened Skye, Skittles power your weapons and things, so that's full time too.
Kinda of interesting how much product placement in video games exists.
Oh, and why not?

I suppose I should have 'Pulled a Luke' on Luke when I answered before.

I was looking at Atari Jaguar stuff and noticed this:

There's a version with 6 face buttons apparently. I'm kinda amazed that someone at Atari actually looked at the stock controller and actually said "You know what this needs? MORE BUTTONS."

Thats the pro controllerm and it actually made some games actually playable. The extra three buttons are mapped to the bottom row on the numpad.AppleQueso wrote:There's a version with 6 face buttons apparently.
