Still kinda slacking on FF5 Advance, but I'm at the part where I'm headed to the Crescent Island.

I've been pretty into the offline mode of Phantasy Star Online lately. I'm still early -- like 3 or 4 hrs in. I'm on that quest where you have to kill five breeds of monsters to bring back for testing in the Forest (1 & 2) or Ragol.

Niiiiiiiice. The offline mode is all I ever really played. Probably because I didn't have a Dreamcast until 2010.

Anyone know if all the Phantasy Star Online games have offline modes? What about stuff like CARD Revolution and PS Universe?

I *think* they all have offline, but not positive.

I've played very little PSO in the past. Dabbled with online (get your Dreamcast online Bone!). But this is the longest I've stuck with it. Turns out offline mode is so much better than I assumed it would be!

Getting my Dreamcast online is something I've considered for some time. Unfortunately, as a resident of rural Maine, I have very slow and limited internet.

But yeah, the PSO offline mode is surprisingly good!

PS Universe has different "episodes" in the game - the first one and expansion pack are offline only but I think there are three or four that are online only. I wasn't wild about the game.

PSO-offline just makes me wish I was playing it online. I wish Sega would release a version for Xbox 360!

Still playing Persona 4: Golden on Vita. Long game. Can anyone help me with starting the Naoto social link? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Also, I've been enjoying the heck out of The Witcher 2. Very interesting story so far and I love the way it's playing out. Choices really seem to matter in this game.

I've always enjoyed playing PSO offline.

It becomes kind of a dungeon crawl, with a lonely, isolated feeling that I really like. It makes you excited when you get the occasional AI companion for a mission, or just find a character somewhere.

PSO is just damn good, period.

I can't wait for PSO2...

Naoto should be on the first floor of the school building; I don't remember where on holidays. If I recall right, you need a minimum level of knowledge (I could be wrong on the specific social stat) and you need to first talk with an unrelated NPC in the shopping district to be able to kick it off.
