I used to have a duo but the laser bit the dust in the late 90's and i actually threw it away  . I have had a turbo grafx for years but no duo until now! Finally get to play through ys 1&2 again.

Nice! Ys Book I & II is one of my favorite games of all time.

Make sure you also check out Ys III and IV (I still need to pick up Ys III myself).

As far as games acquired goes, I received a pretty cool package today:

Image

Games included: Blueprint (C64), Radar Rat Race (C64), Horse Racing (Intellivision), Dungeon Master (SNES), Jordan vs. Bird (Tiger Handheld) and Blip by Tomy.

I'd like to (slowly) build up a modest collection of C64 carts. I'd rather not buy disks anymore because they're so unreliable.

I've had an empty Horse Racing box + instructions + controller overlay for about a month now, so it's nice to finally have the game cartridge.

Dungeon Master: I've had a Japanese cart for years, finally have it in English now.

The Jordan vs. Bird game is alright. It's actually more beat-up than it appears in the photo. I probably hadn't played a Tiger game since I was ten or so.

And that Tomy Blip game is pretty neat. The only thing "electronic" about it is a small light that moves back and forth, but it's a lot of fine to play. Kinda Pong-ish/tennis-ish I guess... I really haven't figured it out completely.

Look for Omega Race cart, a great translation of the Arcade and emulates the Spinner with a game paddle. :D

Tomy Blip looks very vintage, came out same year as Mattel Football. Nice Find!

Got my tax return money, and decided to use $100 of it to blow on games. Here's what I got:

-Astal (Saturn)
-Bucky O' Hare (NES)
-Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA)
-Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX (GBA) (Won an auction for only $4.05 and free shipping!)
-Ninja Gaiden: The Dragon Sword (DS)
-Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (PS1)

I also got the Iron Man: Armor Wars trade paperback collection (collect Iron Man #225-#232).

So all in all, a pretty good haul.

I got shot down at all the thrift stores I visited yesterday. Gamestop gave me a couple of goodies, though.

Little Big Planet
Yakuza 3
Hotel Dusk Room 215

My local store doesn't throw out the pre-owned DS cases, so everything is all nice and complete :)

Then today I went into Kmart to see what they might have clearanced and thinking I might get a new PS3 controller since they were $10 off and found something I'd much rather have instead.

They had one copy. I must have stood in front of the case debating on whether or not I should get it for close to 5 minutes before thinking, "Hell, if I don't get it now and can't find it later it'll bug me for the rest of my life." So in my nice little collection stash is where it now resides :D

I also pre-ordered Pandora's Tower while I was at Gamestop. I think my wad be spent for the month

Yup. That highly factored into my decision. I wanted it as soon as I saw it, but I kept thinking I can wait.....I don't have to buy it right now..... surely there'd be more copy's soon.....but what if I was wrong

Sealed, 13 dollars shipped. And there starts my Working Designs collection... Goodbye money!

I got this for $1.99 at GameStop last year, complete. I don't know why it was so dang cheap, because it's a fantastic shoot-em up.

It's a good decision, the Fire Emblem games hold their value EXTREMELY well so most likely it will always be $40 (or more).
