any way to see item description after you buy it on Amazon?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Depends on the seller, sometimes they'll elaborate, sometimes they won't.

If you've already bought it though, it's a little too late isn't it?

no no im pretty sure every single one of the things i bought last night said it was complete. I just want to be able to say whether it was my fault or theirs if an item comes to me incomplete.

Well, I know if you go into your orders and select "Order Details", you can at least see if the condition says "new", "used - very good", etc. Not sure if you can fetch the description though, at least I'm not seeing anything like that.

if they print you a packing slip, the description will be on it. i always make sure to send a packing slip with any of my amazon orders i ship out for this very reason. that way someone can't be angry if i describe an item correctly and it's not what they thought it was.

This weekend I got a $100 amazon gift card with my credit card reward points so i bought 5 sega genesis games with it and i still have $10 left over :). I'm 99% sure they all said good to very good condition and all complete. I just want to make sure no one pulls a fast one on me, I wish amazon was as organized as ebay but i suppose thats why its cheaper.

I've noticed this as well, and it annoys me. There have been times where I could have sworn the item was described better than it actually was. Yet when I go back to look for a description on my order history, there is none, so I have no proof. On eBay they'll show you the exact listing as it looked before you buy it. Wish Amazon did the same.

The item description they gave (like-new, very-good etc) is a rating system a lot of sellers don't know about it seems. I bought a "very-good" copy of super street fighter 2 for sega with no item description and it came cart only. Seller told me the cart was in "very-good" condition. I linked them to the amazon definition of "very-good" and they paid for the return shipping and gave me a full refund. On older systems, don't expect it to come CIB unless the written description says that. You could complain later but that is a pain in the ass.

when i list stuff i always make sure to properly describe it. i agree it's annoying to see the same copied/pasted description that doesn't really apply to the item you're looking at (WE TEST ALL OUR GAMES 100%++ and all that).

if you're looking for a place to spend your remaining $10, i have some items for sale ;)

No I'm pretty damn sure i only bought ones that had good description and were complete. As for the remaining $10 todays lightning deal was for Dead Space 3 it was marked down to $40 for today only with free shipping so i ended up only paying $30 out of my pocket.
