What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

3/4 of the way through

Made it through Hong Kong and now back in New York. I am using the Dragon sword quite often, though I still keep my riot shotgun and sniper rifle handy along with a few grenades of various types. This sword is way overpowered. I like it, but it is ridiculous. I have also maxed out the regeneration power, which has made things much easier. Now if I need to, I duck around a corner, kick it on, and heal quickly before popping back out and unloading or slicing and dicing.

That's how it goes, I tend to run through most of the game using only the sword, haha.
Despite being probably my favorite game after Link to the Past and Super Metroid, I still need to do a Realistic run sometime. Might do that next time I get the urge to replay it.

I try not to use that sword all that often for that reason. Even with the regen aug. I still like mastering gun skills and popping headshots with reckless abandon.Ack wrote:Made it through Hong Kong and now back in New York. Oh, I still use my rifle and shotgun as much as possible. In fact, upon returning to Hell's Kitchen, I promptly took to sniping the various riot police and UNATCO troops who were patrolling the streets. But regeneration basically means I no longer need healthpacks unless in mid-combat in such a way that I cannot get away.
Still, wading through a crowd of MJ12 troops with just the sword and coming out victorious is a great feeling.

Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
I'll agree on all those points. Regen is nice when you can't get enough medkits especially later in the game without lockpicking, but yet there's always more bioelectric discs to restore your aug energy and even more of those bioelectric repairbots handy than the type that can heal you. Also, one cannot deny that MJ12 killing spree feelingAck wrote:Oh, I still use my rifle and shotgun as much as possible. Lockpicking/hacking is ALWAYS the way to go in these kind of FPS's I'd say, heh. Never fails me.
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
So Crysis 3 is out. I finished the first level before deciding I wanted to play more Fire Emblem. I'm liking the new bow; it lets me stealth kill without losing cloak, which is something I always like when games let me do it. The first mission is still the linear style, so I haven't seen if the other levels are as expansive as they have been purpoted to be.

The sniping gimmick in Sniper Elite V2 was nice but it made the game too easy. Nazi Zombie Army on the other hand upped the ante by including a rather unoriginal idea that fits the series quite well: in order to bring down those zombies you have to be a good shot or get overwhelmed by hordes of the things. I am still on the first level and it's fun despite being barren in terms of presentation.. Kudos to whoever thought of including 80s style horror synth for a soundtrack; it's awesome!
Take this with the grainiest of salts: I like this game better than the new Resident Evils so far.

Resistance Fall of Man is such a bore.. especially after having played Singularity which was a more interesting game (and was criminally overlooked). Perhaps I should have skipped to R3 instead.
