Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Saw the new Die Hard tonight. With all the bad press, I almost passed on it. But with wife and baby out of town, and no other good alternatives, Die Hard it was. I am glad I saw it.
It is what I expected it to be. Mindless action flick. Basically an 80s action movie with better special effects and more ridiculous stunts. Of course, some of the shit that happens is impossible, and the McClains can fall through anything and survive. But I was entertained, and the movie never tried to be more than what it was.

Harrison Ford rumored to return as Han Solo in ‘Star Wars Episode VII
According to sources at Latino-Review, a site with an impeccable history of reporting accurate rumors, Harrison Ford will indeed be playing Han Solo again in a future Star Wars film. Latino Review first broke the news on Fox News Latino where the editor stated, "It’s official. Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movies.” He went on to state that “His deal is done. It’s just a formality. They haven’t really announced it yet.”
Fans may remember the report that first surfaced back in November where Ford expressed interest in reprising the role once again if the script handled the character in a proper manner. As to whether or not he'll be making an appearance in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII or the rumored Han Solo stand-alone movie is anyone's guess at the moment. However, we do think it would be a great device to see an older Han Solo being used as a framing device that leads audiences into a flashback, telling the story of his earlier years.
What do you think of the latest rumor regarding Ford's return to the role of Han Solo?

Awesome review man. I Know Who Killed Me is one of my all-time favorites. Not because it's "the best movie I've ever seen", but moreso due to how completely blindsided it left me.Michi wrote:

It's Lohan in a modern, American (!) giallo which revels in it's own absurdity. The writing isn't the best, but it isn't supposed to be. This film is about trippy visuals (the football scene, being a personal favorite of mine), grotesque gore; and the juxtapositional pop-erection which is Lohan in a sleazy art flick w/ a $12,000,000 budget. This should've been much more strongly indicated by the film's marketing.
Very funny comic also. Thanks for that.

Awesome job as always Michi.
But hey, if you like it you like it. I have no idea why you would like it, but to each his own. To me there are two classifications of Die Hard movies. The Great ones, and the Bald McClane ones.
I haven't disagreed more since BD said Green Lantern was a good movie. There's nothing "Die Hard" about the movie other than Bruce Willis being in it. And it's nothing like an 80's action flick. The movie is a giant turd and is as far away from Die Hard as you can get.Jmustang1968 wrote:Die Hard it was.

I agree Green Lantern is bad.
It is 80s action flick to me. Lots of explosions and gunfire and cheesy lines and jokes. Its not as good as the originals, but it was better than the 4th.

I think LIVE FREE was far superior to GOOD DAY. I don't think GDTDH has enough one liners that are at least a bit clever. Ahnold told cheesy one-liners, Bruce's lines were as if someone actually thought about them before penning them in the script.Jmustang1968 wrote:

Sure, GDTDH has tons of explosions and gunfire, and that's it. Die Hard wasn't about millions of rounds of ammo and explosions. It was about some gunfire and one explosion. McClane is not supposed to be invincible. You're supposed to fear for his safety and root that the guy doesn't die. There is zero of that in GDTDH.
GDTDH is what ATTACK OF THE CLONES is to THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Some of the elements are there, but it just blows ball sacks as a movie.

I agree with most of your post except the last sentence. I don't think it is a terrible movie. Just a mindless action movie.Luke wrote:I think LIVE FREE was far superior to GOOD DAY. I'm hamming up my review of the movie so much because of the talk we got from Dune entertainment and Woods. And I'm not saying there aren't good sequences, but it would be better titled "BRUCE WILLIShas a good day to die hard.
