I just redid my shelves and its time to show them off here.

Warning those with slow interweb connections, there are a lot of pictures incoming. Prepare your bomb shelters.

Image
I dub thee, Handheld Shrine.

Image
For those that don't know, my series of focus is Suikoden, and that is a store sign for the fifth game, as well as the limited edition art cell.

Image
Behind the sign and art we find my Sega boxes begin! Oh that typo on Ys, forever confusing gamers.

Image
Likewise, Doom for 32X will forever haunt OCD 32X collectors.

Image
Virtua Fighter Remix and my DC games hanging out in front of my GB, GBC, GBA CIBs. 20th Anniversary Castlevania items are also welcome.

Image
Everybody loves 16-bit hockey! Don't judge me!

Image
Before you ask, these are survivors of childhood. I was a lucky kid that got to keep my boxes.

Image
Can you see which handheld I got where I had money to spend during its lifecycle? Hint: it has 2 screens.

Image
That lone Japanese game is Gyakuten Saiban 2, or as we know it, Phoenix Wright: Justice for All.

Image
Baby Sega collection with some NES boxes thrown in for flavor.

Image
Rest of the NES games plus 3/4 of my PS1 longboxes, the last one wouldn't fit without damage to the NES games.

Image
2nd shelf out of 2. Is it getting warm in here?

Image
Top shelf = top quality.

Image
Unfortunately Tekken sticks out like a sore thumb.

Image
The PS2, or as I call it, my teenage years.

Image
I've kept that MK Kollection sealed, I'm not sure why.

Image
There was some dust when I took these pictures. Was.

Image
My beautiful display with 1 too many PSP games.

Image
These cassette cases are perfect for Master System and Genesis games, $1 each and I bought all 3 I could find.

Image
Still room for growth.

Image
Official PS1 storage case!

Image
It earns its paycheck.

Image
Onto the PC closet!

Image
Some smaller boxes and clamshells.

Image
I should be going to a con where I can get my Firefly box set signed by the Hero of Canton!

Image
Small collection of guides and other good stuff.

Image
Because of my small Saturn collection Sega Rally is pretty much always inside it.

Image
Carts, carts everywhere!

Image
Double stacked SNES games at the back.

Image
So many SNES games can fill the same space as a few NES games.

Image
GC, N64, and the rest of the PS1 games live here.

Here is a link to the old set up for a comparison:

Lots of good stuff there. :)

I didn't notice the mistake on the Doom 32X for the brief period I had it. I have quite a few audio CDs where the spine label is upside down though. Drives me bonkers.

Thank you all.

Anyway, I planned that new set up over a couple days and since the redesign the consensus is that it is much better than my old set up. The old one was one of those things where a lot of people just don't think about how to improve it, so you must take things into your own hands and given all my retail experience it was a fun and nice challenge to create this more enjoyable set up.

Even I can't take my eyes off it when I'm in the room. I'm so blaming a bunch of my recent game overs on my ogling of this design.

Ahhh, so youre the same SirPsycho from suikosource! haha.
I go by "whileheavenwept" over there. I'm a huge suikoden collector and when I first saw your collection on the suikosource forums, I knew I had to have that Suikoden V gamestop cardboard sign! I have the Suikoden IV one but yours is the first i've seen for Suikoden V. I love it :D.

Anyways, just thought i'd say great collection! Glad to see you on these forums over here as well :D

I should start posting over there more often as much as I love the series, but yeah, we are one in the same.

I got insanely lucky with those store signs, both of them were in the same ebay auction as the S5 artwork so I got them all together and they've been making my shelves look great ever since then.

Your collection looks great - I love how clean and organized everything is. It also looks like we have the same taste in quality when it comes to the PS2. : P You have some titles in there I've been actively hunting for lately.. great stuff!

Love the Suikoden collection as well. That sign really does make the shelf look awesome. You snagged a hell of a deal on that.

Not a bad thing at all. :) Sega Rally makes its way into my Saturn at least once a week at my wife's request and also because it's a fantastic racing game.
