One thing that bugs me about these old Nintendo platformers - they save your position but not your lives. So I rack up 75 lives in Mario World - turn off the game to make dinner. Turn it back on and I'm small Mario with 5 lives! I think DKC did the same thing, as I recall.
You need more than 5 lives? :?:
You need more than 3?

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time

After finishing the first two chapters I'd say the writing and humor is slightly less sharp than previous games, but other than that it's pretty much everything you'd expect from a Sly Cooper game. For anyone who is already a fan of the series, this is an easy recommendation. The game feels like a combination of Sly 2 and 3.

Depending on where you are in SMW, you can rack up lives pretty quickly (Forest of Illusion 1 and 2 are good places for it...)

Wow, I think Sly 4 has possibly the best use of a montage I've ever seen in a video game...complete with cheesy, eighties music :D

Absolutely hilarious!

Up until chapter 3, I was wondering if this game could hit some of the comedic high notes of previous Sly games...and it just did.

This game is awesome

Some really funny moments from Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, no major story spoilers

the things they get away with in kid friendly games these days

We're gonna need a montage!

One of the coolest boss battles in the game

That second video may be one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen in a game

Chuck Rock, on the Super Nintendo. I know, it's not the best version of the game, but it's the one I have for my grey and purple baby, so it's the one I'm playing. With each attempt, I get a bit farther in the game. Made it to the Mammoth boss this morning for the first time, so hopefully I'll see what the final level is like on the SNES some time this week.

I'm towards the end of Klonoa for the ps2. Fun game, a bit on the easy side, but its uniqueness keep it interesting. I just picked up the Wii remake of the PS1 game also and plan to dive into it this evening.

Currently playing a bit of "Croc" on the Sega Saturn.
Weird and frustrating control scheme, to say the least. I feel there's a decent enough game in there waiting to come out, but the controls basically sink this one.
Maybe I'll track down the PS1 version, just for comparison sakes.

Been playing Kirby's Epic Yarn as sort've a break from ZombiU and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge. Lol.

It's got amazing art style and level design, with catchy lighthearted music. I love everything about it except for the lack of a challenge but it really is a joy to play.
