It's not uncomfortable it's just unnecessarily large. I also hate how on the pro pads the analogs sticks are ABOVE the face buttons, Tell me they won't get in the way.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Screw that. I love the large size. It's one of the most comfortable controllers I've ever used.TheRev wrote:I NEVER thought the day would come when Nintendo has the most appealing system. However that Wii U pad needs to go there is no reason it can't be Vita sized

They don't. I have big man fingers too.
If I have a complaint about the pro controller it's that the triggers feel a bit loose.

Older. Not wiser.
Re: I will gracefully bow out of the console market
I'm pretty much already done. I cannot see myself investing that much in this gen stuff already. I delayed forever in getting a DS Lite and a Wii, and although I'll get a PSP and a 360, the latter is mostly for shmups, and the former is mostly for retro stuff and retro-feeling stuff. There's only a very small library of current gen stuff I want, and the next gen stuff so far doesn't interest me in the slightest. I'm basically set. So instead of getting a PS3/PS4/Xbox3/Wii-U/3DS/PSP2, I'll just save up for a PC Engine.
I am, however, getting an Ouya in hopes that the retro stuff on there will be worth the price. Plus, cheap Android PC, kinda cool.

Re: I will gracefully bow out of the console market
Well I am in a similar boat.
I would like to get a Wii U since the soon-to-be-wife and I like to play (2D) Mario games together but I have no plans to purchase a PS4 or 720.
In the past year virtually all of my game purchases have been older PC games on GOG that I missed when they first came out or SEGA Genesis carts from Amazon.
Most of the current gen console games just don't have the same appeal that they did for me 5-7 years ago. I suppose my tastes in gaming have changed as I have gotten older (almost 31, geez...). And I am most likely not quite the target age demographic for most current console games. I am OK with that.
My favorite era of gaming is definitely the 16-bit era and there are TONS of games of that generation that I have never played. It would take me years to play through the games that interest me on the SNES that I never played growing up. And I have just gotten into the Genesis in the past year(ish) and have barely scratched the surface of that library.
Going forward, I do like my 3DS (yay, FE:A!!) and I have enjoyed some of the recent indie PC games like FTL and Grimrock. I am also interested to see what the Ouya will do when it comes out.

Wacky Conspiracy theory... Could the No Used games rumor have been something Nintendo started to drum up support for them by the Hardcore gamers they're trying win back over?

I feel the same way as the OP. But for different reasons. The biggest reason being used games being blocked. If these rumors are true, then there isn't a shadow of doubt about it: I won't be buying the XBox 3 or PS4. I simply can't afford $60 a pop for a game.
Wii U I might get when the price lowers, though. But I'm not in a rush, because there's still plenty of XBox 360 and Wii games I have yet to play.

No. If it were, MS would have deinied the rumor on the spot.TheRev wrote:Wacky Conspiracy theory... Could the No Used games rumor have been something Nintendo started to drum up support for them by the Hardcore gamers they're trying win back over?

Maybe nobody know's it's Nintendo leaking the Rumor....
By the way I looked at the Wii U pro Controller the Analog stick is off to the side out of the way of the buttons.
So Wii U is redeemed FOR NOW. But that controller is still too retardedly big.

How would you differentiate only buying games you "need" as opposed to how you previously collected?BoneSnapDeez wrote:I dunno if I'll bow out of the console market - I would like a Wii U - but I have bowed out of collecting. Only buying games I "need" now.
