I don't believe THQ's engine for WCW Revenge/Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy have been used since, and it's great that they haven't..it really let's them have their own special place on N64. These are my favorite wrestling games on any platform(WCW Revenge is my favorite of the three). They're really easy to just pick up and play.

I never really got into N64 games that weren't mainstream. My favorites were Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Smash Bros, Mission Impossible.. and Starfox was wonderful, of course. Then there's those hidden pleasures on N64 that get people like Pokemon Snap..hehe. I remember the machine at Blockbuster that let you put your memorycard in and print out your photos as stickers, that was really cool.

One thing I'll always remember was Japanese N64 games had black tabs on the bottom back of the cartridges that made them not fit into American consoles..this was their idea of region-locking, I guess. Third parties made "cartridge converters" which was like a middleman to plug the cartridge into that let it fit.. but those who didn't want to spend the money for one could just break the plastic pieces off(my brother imported Pokemon Stadium 2 a long time before it came out here and melted the plastic pieces off using the stove top!).

Blast Corps is ace!

It's quite tricky, but it's never unfair. It's one of those 'classic' learning curves you get from R-type and similar games. You always blame yourself if you do it wrong and then have 'one more go'.

One of my faves that one. I need to get it again. I wish i had never sold my original N64. Having to hunt down my old favourites is a real drag, especially when you can never find them in a good box and when you can they are always twice as much as the cart only versions.

I never sell any of my consoles any more. It sucks too much later when you had a classic game be worth almost half as much as what you sold the console and all the games for!

Insane difficulty level? that im not sure. I know there are some space missions that are loads of fun. I was luckie enough to find it at a pawn shop for like a dollar or two. Pawn shops are cool. The store owners never seem to know the value of what they have. I almost feel bad for ripping them off - but if they dont know......

Im not sure if im brain damaged or if I remember seeing a two player option for Blast Corps on the box. I only have one controller for my N64- is there a two player option for this game?

I don't recall a two player. AFAIK it's single player only! Not quite sure how a multiplayer would work anyway!

yeah, same here. That too bad Nintendo never released that mech game or robot game they where talking about releasing. From what i read it was supposed to be a multiplayer game - every one with a controller would move a part of a giant robot. kind of like controlling Voltron. That would have bin a blast. It would have bin like the time my friends and I played a driving/racing game drunk. Ha ha - the replay footage was funnier then hell- since the game was well made, the car jerked and staled just like a car with a drunk behind the wheel.

Don't drink and drive - but id say try it out on Grand Turizmo for the Playstation.
and children remember to ask your parents permission

Kirby 64 remains my favourite game for the system. It was 2D, but it had parts where the stage curved. Not to mention, the combonation of powers was awesome! Spark + Slash remains my favourite.

I also loved Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Zelda 64 as well.
