'90s shows that I wanna be resurrected

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Didn't Doug actually come back on the Disney Channel not too long ago with better looking animation and Doug wearing a long sleeved shirt? Could've just been a movie though.

I'd like to see Darkwing Duck come back and also Gargoyles, or at least that Disney released the whole Gargoyles series on DVD, technically they did come back in comic book form but the publisher lost the license less than a month ago and the story arc was not completed :(

As much as I love Ducktales, which is quite a bit, I dont want the modern Disney to kill it.

They have one trade with the first 6 issues out now, and they are supposedly going to release another trade with the missing issues as "Bonus Material", they also started a 6 issue miniseries that only got to issue 4 that is going to get the same treatment.

That's cool, I'll definitely check those out. I have like two issues of the comic series, but wasn't able to keep up with my money going to the officially canonized Buffy and Angel comics, plus the Y:The Last Man trades. I got the two DVD sets though

I loved the Gargoyles cartoon. One of the greatest, animated, American shows ever made I think. Full of mythology, Shakespeare, great characters, style and some of the greatest voice actors ever. Like Batman:The Animated Series, it wasn't a show aimed squarely at kids either

My favorite 90's shows were:

Hey Arnold
Kablam!
Ren and Stimpy
Invader Zim (not 90's, but it was still great)

I also spent a lot of time watching Digimon as a kid, although I'm not sure it's aged very well.

My very favorite 90's show (and my favorite show ever) though, is The Simpsons. It's still going, but I think the overall quality of the show vanished as that decade did.

Two Shows:
1. Get a Life w/Chris Elliot (where the main character was the motivation for Kenny from South Park always dying)
2. Ren -n- Stimpy

Also, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was a fave of mine back in the day. I've actually considered what it would be like if it were reinvented as a film along the lines of recent film adaptations that rebooted older IPs like Transformers, GI Joe and Gatchaman.

Anyway, in mine, the plot is this:
Astronauts have found an ancient shrine on Mars dedicated to a vicious witch named Rita Repulsa. They awaken her and her minions, who immediately take over the world. That was 1994.

Now, almost 20 years later, Rita rules the entire world, which is nightmarish and dystopian. Unbeknownst to her, a secret military operation is adapting alien technology to help stop her. The technology is dubbed Zero Operation Reaction Device (a.k.a Z.O.R.D), which is controlled by means of a liason(sic?) program called Zero Operation Reaction Device Operation Nexus (a.k.a Z.O.R.D.O.N). The project's leader, an Army General whose code-name is Alpha Five, scours the Earth for five people who will be... THE POWER RANGERS!!

And they will stand against the vicious Rita Repulsa and take back the world that is rightfully ours.
And my Rangers are:
* Red Ranger: Jason Lee Scott. Once another trust-fund kid, now a troubled teen. Originally white, Jason's now Asian.
* Black Ranger: Zack Taylor. Disgraced athlete turned anarchist. Originall black, Zack's now white.
* Blue Ranger: Billy Cranston. Robin Hood of cyberspace, he steals from major corporations and funnels the money into charities. Originally white, Billy's now black.
* Pink Ranger: Trini Kwan. Former Wiccan turned eco-terrorist. Originally Asian, Trini's now half-Jewish/half-Korean, and is now the Pink Ranger.
* Yellow Ranger: Kimberly Hart. Pop star turned modern-day Patty Hearst, albeit she's the leader of the group instead of a kidnap victim. Originally white, Kimberly is now half-Kenyan/half-French, and is now the Yellow Ranger.
Also, some other notes:
* Z.O.R.D.O.N will be a replacement to the classic Zordon.
* The as-of-yet unnamed Army General is codenamed Alpha Five, but is NOT in any way any kind of comic relief.
* Actual giant robots may not be in this. Instead the Z.O.R.Ds will probably be various assault vehicles that don't resemble the dinosaurs that they're named for. For example, the Pteradactyl will be a stealth bomber, the Mastodon will be like an amphibious assault vehicle, the Triceratops will be like a cross between a Sherman tank and a battering ram, etc.
* Rita Repulsa will be redesigned, but will retain similar concepts from the original.
* Her minions will also be redesigned.
* This will NOT be anything like the real MMPR, but will rather be a reboot.
* Lord Zedd will, in fact, be in the sequel, but will also be redesigned. He'll basically look like a cloaked figure in a gigantic face mask.
* There won't be anything from any of the spin-offs, so no Zeo Crystals, no Turbo vehicles, no going into space, et cetera.
