Right, like Nancy Cartwright. I think it works for cartoons because everyone is doing a "voice". But for something that's supposed to use natural speaking voices it makes the children sound very off.

Google didn't tell me whether the voice of Shaun/Jason was an adult or not. But I agree the voice for the kid was one of the weaker points.

I'd wouldn't mind if they sounded like Scruffy from Futurama, it would still be an improvement.

Very eloquent way to put it.

I've fully grasped it, but I'll admit it took me multiple playthroughs.

Considering most of the cast consisted of jobbing English/European actors, there's a fine chance Shaun/Jason were done by a precocious London kid being asked to affect an American twang.

I think the only proper American in the UK/US version is the chap who voiced Scott Shelby, but even he's a British citizen. Madison is played by an English model, and voiced by a European, maybe French, who resides in the US.

Oh god, there are so many.

Anything with the Shin Megami Tensei name attached to it has a great story. Well, except for the Demi Kids games, but that's debatable.

I liked Nier's story. It's really what kept me playing the game.

El Shaddai has a great story too... if you're okay with lots of religious references.

It took a new member to actually mention this undeservedly-shunted game.

Side fact, Scruffy is voiced by David Herman, better known as Michael Bolton in Office Space. He also voices Roberto and Wernstrom, among others.
