Wow. I'm not sure what impact they'd have on it, though. Olympic wrestling is a lot different than pro-wrestling. I'm sure the Olympic Committee thinks pro-wrestling is a joke since it's not a legitimate sport (not saying it doesn't take athleticism, but it's really not a sport).

Nonetheless, I don't understand why they'd take wrestling out of the Olympics. Even though WWE and TNA isn't a legitimate sport, Olympic wrestling is and it should be represented.

How can something like that even happen? I mean when I think of the olympics, I think of the Ancient Greece, wrestling and javelin throwing. There's so many stupid and obscure sports in the olympics but yet they decide to remove one of the corner stones that made event in the first place?

Many technical pro-wrestlers do have a background in legitimate wrestling. And then there's this guy :)

The Olympics are pretty horrible as-is, and baseball is one thing but WRESTLING? This is one the initial core events. Terrible decision.

Yeah, what of it? I don't recall ever saying anything to contradict that.

Getting rid of wrestling on the Olympics is only a proposal, no?

"There once was a kid, who liked to talk a lot of smack. He's actually whiter than me but he thinks he's black" Kurt Angle to John Cena
Oh how things have changed in 10 years :) Damn I miss that era

I've missed a lot, limited to only the showings on iON TV and whatever YouTube recaps I can stream.

How the heck did Alberto Del Rio turn face?

I like the guy, he can sell and speak, he adapts quickly, he has built-in heat with his sidekick Rodgriguez. But he has no concentrated offense. He's no Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, or Kurt Angle (athletic faces with submission finishers and explosive transitions). I see it more as leaning toward Ken Shamrock or William Regal... or the early WWE careers of CM Punk and Daniel Bryansan. Del Rio is too flashy to be a pure submission heel, but his repertoire is not flashy enough to have an established "five moves of doom."

I bring this up because he just had a halfway decent match with Dolph Ziggler. Through no fault of both wrestlers, they just did not mesh well and several spots seem stilted.

That would funny. John Cena, getting on in his career, turns into Dr.Claw.

Great pay per view

The Rock/Punk match was much better than their last one. The Elimination Chamber match was awesome. And I enjoyed seeing The Shield kick Team Cena's ass. Cena and company basically got beat by a better team. The tag team synergy The Shield showed was just phenomenal, and they really heeled things up too. These guys are awesome

Props to Mark Henry, he looked like a beast in the Elimination Chamber match. He threw Orton through a glass chamber. He eliminated both members of Team Hell No, and it took three guys and two finishers to get him pinned. But that wasn't the end of it, after being eliminated he came back in the ring and destroyed everyone, forcing Booker T to come out with a shit load of referees. That's a badass heel ladies and gentlemen. Henry is fucking awesome!

In fact, WWE has quite a few badasses right now. Henry, Lesnar, Roman Reigns from The Shield, Big Show, Big E, and even Rybak. Just a lot of guys they got now who seem like monsters, although Del Rio has been making something of a joke out of Show. Still, he needed Ricardo's help AGAIN to beat Show. They're not making Del Rio look very strong, and I don't think he's all that over.

I feel bad for Jericho. Whenever he's in the WWE lately they put him on job duty. It's like he's just there to put on great performances, not win matches. He currently has no Mania feud either

Biggest surprise of the night:
