I probably wouldn't go that far, as part of Earthbound's value comes from the fact that a reprint is extremely unlikely because of all the copyright issues, but it will undoubtedly hold its value very well. Weren't there rumors that a Wii-U Xenoblade was coming out soon?

It's confirmed, and it's a sequel I believe.

WTF, how is Xenoblade going for over $100 this soon! Wow, I never expected that to happen in less than a year.

I remember last year when Xenoblade was about to be released, all the people on this site saying how rare and valuable it would become. I don't think any of us realized just how high prices would be go, especially this soon, but I'm really glad I pre-ordered my copy when I did. I think we should ALL be pre-ordering the next Xenoblade on Wii-U :D

I highly doubt that Xenoblade 2 will be anywhere near as valuable in the long run as the original. The first came out on the Wii, a console never known for a high attachment rate, and at the end of it's lifespan at that. Whereas the sequel is coming out on a new system. I remember reading that games which come out in the first year or two of a system's life almost never become super valuable.

I don't know, I have trouble imagining the price on Xenoblade sustaining forever. Same thing with Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Too many people buying it up just to hoard it, once they all dump their excess copies, the price will dip back down. How many people have you seen online talking about buying multiple copies just to resell the extras for a profit later?

Honestly, I think it comes down to overall print run. If Nintendo did a second run of Xenoblade, prices would surely crash. However, if the Xenoblade sequel on Wii-U doesn't sell "well" enough in the first few weeks to warrant a second print run, then that game could certainly become as rare and valuable as the first.

It came out there earlier, and apparently demand in Europe was high enough that Nintendo published that version with no fan prompting. I'm sure it sold better over there, meaning lower resale prices.

I just wish I bought Cubivore when it was still around $35 - $40... :?

Not a Wii game, but the Wii will play it. I know CRT is hoarding a few. Darn him. lol
