1. Announce HD version of Windwaker
2. Let that sink in

Nah, prices were getting stupid high even before the announcement.

umm wouldn't that drive the prices down? HD remakes tend to make the prices go down, just look at ico and shadow of the colossus.

I dunno if import games are allowed but, Captain Rainbow sold 22,682 copies (atleast during 2008) leading me to beleive it's pretty rare.

Wow, I didn't realize it sold that few copies. It's always been a really cheap import ($25ish IIRC). I think I will grab it sooner rather than later. There are some excellent guides out there for us gamers that don't speak a lick of Japanese.

When the game is released, then the prices tend to drop a bit, however after the announcement there is lots of buzz for the original version of the HD remakes.

I've been checking Gamestop's site every few days to see if a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles pops up in my area. While none have I did notice that yesterday Gamestop raised the price on the pre-owned version from $44.99 to $59.99 which is more than it cost new.

I don't have an issue with this seeing as eBAY prices for used copies are moving past $100.

Hmm. I knew Xenoblade would never be a cheap game, but I wasn't expecting this. Is Xenoblade going to be the Wii's Earthbound?

I probably wouldn't go that far, as part of Earthbound's value comes from the fact that a reprint is extremely unlikely because of all the copyright issues, but it will undoubtedly hold its value very well. Weren't there rumors that a Wii-U Xenoblade was coming out soon?
