How do you use downloaded vmu saves?
So I managed to get an invite to UG, thanks to a kind forum member, and found a torrent that supposedly has all DC vmu saves. I downloaded it but now I'm wondering how to get it onto my vmu. Thanks.
Re: How do you use downloaded vmu saves?
I used Planetweb Browser 3.0 to go to sites which offer saves unzipped, and it automatically transferred them to my memcard upon 'clicking' their links. It's not hard to get the browser, but the dialup process might be uncomfortable for you. Otherwise you'd need to buy a dedicated cable (try eBay) or a Nexus memory card.

First of all, congrats on being lucky enough to get a UG invite. A good way to get saves onto your VMU without a dialup connection is by using the VMU backup disk. I think I'm not allowed to post the link because it's on another forum, but just search for it on SNESorama, or a torrent site, and you'll find it. It has saves for pretty much every single Dreamcast game, and multiple ones. It also contains a collection of VMU games. You can't transfer the games to your VMU with this disk, just the saves. To transfer over games, use the Dreampassport 3 disk. Also, since you have a UG account, may I please have an invitation?
I really want to use that site. I already saw the UG invite thread in this forum, but that seems like a huge mass of posts where a request could get easily lost.

Hey, I missed your post in the UG gamer invite thread. Sonikjesus probably can't help you because new members can't invite until they get a good ratio and become "power users." I happen to be a power user and I have invited a lot of people onto the site, so I'll gladly invite you if you send me a PM with your email.lisalover1 wrote:First of all, congrats on being lucky enough to get a UG invite. This disc must be something recent since I haven't heard of it back when my DC still functioned. Sounds like a cool idea though!lisalover1 wrote:First of all, congrats on being lucky enough to get a UG invite. You can find the Backup CD here
I had issues with 3rd party memory cards, it went through the motions of copying the files but they weren't there when I rebooted, official VMUs had no problem with it.
