Re: The 3DO...Worth while?
I picked up a 3DO bundle on the BST forum about a month ago. It came with 20 or so burned games which all play flawlessly. Personally I love the system. The 3DO is a peculiar machine. The one problem I have is that the controller cord are not nearly long enough. Gex is the best game by far for the system but it also has a great port of Street Fighter and also there is a good version of Doom, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, and *cough* Love Bites(video game porn?). If you are looking to get a 3DO I wouldn't suggest getting one with a few games and DO NOT pay over 80 dollars for it shipped! The Front loading FZ-10 is becoming the rarest to find working so if you find one in working order I would try to get it.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

I was going to say that the lack of mentions of Star Control 2 in this thread is disgusting but then Jazoni89 showed up
A lot of 3DOs best games were PC game ports that are better played on PC, ported from other consoles or were later on ported to Saturn/PS1. The few worthwhile exclusives are very mediocre.
The Jaguar is imo a better choiche (more exclusives), but you can get a bigger collection of decent/good games on the 3DO faster/cheaper than on the Jaguar.
I personally got Jaguar 1st, CDi 2nd, 3DO third and PC Engine Duo 4th but I'd recommend getting Duo 1st and Jaguar 2nd. Whether you get the CDi or the 3DO first after that is quite irrelevant. CDi and 3DO both have quite a lot of Amiga/PC games ported on them that aren't available on any other console. I'm quite sure that CDi has more exclusives than 3DO, most of the games are crap though and the even the best games on the system are just mediocre.

The 3DO Doom is universally known as a horrible port and as a game that gives the 3DO a bad name (the 3DO could do a lot better than that).TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:and also there is a good version of Doom
