N64 suggestions

Post by RCBH928 »

Hello
I know there is like a ton of subjects on best N64 games and top 10's...

I am going to buy a few 64 games, if you think there is something I shouldn't miss on please inform me.
I already played Ocarina, 007, Mario, Bad Fur day,
I am buying wrestling games, star wars: shadow of the empire, and star wars Rogue( if you think the gamecube is more worth it please speak now)

recall that i rather spend $20 on newer games like gamecube, 360, and wii.

Mischief Makers for awesome platforming from Treasure. It's cheap to buy. WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and WWF No Mercy is you're looking for wrestling. Keep in mind the AI on those two wrestling games is absurdly cheap so you might enjoy them more with friends. If you get Starfox 64, get it with the rumble pack if you can. It's not that the game is not perfectly enjoyable without it, but it was a big innovation when the game originally came out with it and part of the game's history.

I guess imports are out for you given their price, if not I'd go with Sin and Punishment(a perfect complement to Starfox 64)and Bangai-O

If you're looking to justify getting a RAM cart, you can pick up Donkey Kong 64. A pretty good platformer (and who can forget the DK rap). Lately I've been spending a lot of time with Jet Force Gemini, which is a nice third person shooter that a friend can join in and help in a similar method to how a friend can help you play Mario Galaxy.

If you can find it for decently cheap (I found one in a used game story for around $25 iirc) I'd recommend Ogre Battle 64, which was a fantastic strategy RPG similar to the original on the SNES (though it was easier to deal with alignments in the 64 incarnation).

I think DK alone is worth getting the RAM cart. You also mentioned Shadows of the Empire, its a very good game. And no 64 owner should be with out Star Fox, just be sure to get a rumble pack as well so you don't miss out on the true experience of the game. Some one also mentioned Mischief Makers, a good side scroller.

Might I also suggest Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing, Cruisin USA, and Turok (first or second one).
