97% of Americans, age 12-17, play video games.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

97% of Americans, age 12-17, play video games.

Found this on the Drudge Report. Check it out.

Info.
Report.

According to their small slice of American kids, roughly 1100, they play all kinds of genres, too, and they still participate in society. Though only about a third play survival horror and half play fighters. Why no love for my favorite genres, America? What gives?

We have no taste. All anyone cares about over here is the newest Halo or Call of Duty. I like mostly al genres(except RPGS).

Gaming is mainstream nowadays so that news isn't really surprising.. What about literacy levels though? Soon enough it won't be only pesky militant teens you'll find in MP games  Hopefully, anyway..

That sounds like a lot to me. 49% fighting is pretty good, but yeah... 32% survival sounds small especially compared to the two top genres.

Racing and Puzzle!? I love puzzle games and all, but I did not expect these to be the top guns.

I suspect it's almost as high as TV viewing rates. Maybe even higher!!
