I was just wondering what do you guys think a reasonable offer would be for a loose copy of Castlevania Dracula X (SNES) in good condition?

Japan be crazy. The chances of older systems getting new releases has always been higher over there. Take any game console that's not American in origin, and chances are the last commercially released title will be a Japan exclusive.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Holy shit the final Fire Emblem game on the Super Famicom was released in the year 2000?!

Well the Ni No Kuni demo certainly didn't sell the game for me. I guess I'll go back to leveling up in the Etrian Odyssey IV demo.

I wish it was that way here. I'd love to see new, commercially released games on older system. Imagine a new Zelda, Metroid, or Square RPG released on SNES for the masses at places like GameStop and Play-N-Trade. With the retro fad in full swing as it is, they'd make a killing!BoringSupreez wrote:Japan be crazy. The chances of older systems getting new releases has always been higher over there. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
No they wouldn't. These would be low print runs and being cartridges they'd be really expensive. I couldn't imagine them being any less than $100, probably more like $150+ coming from a big company and including advertising and everything. We're a collection of retro enthusiests here, but most people wouldn't be interested, and not at those prices.BurningDoom wrote:I wish it was that way here. How much was Pier Solar again, with basically no advertising budget and coming from a small group that wasn't driving for maximum profit?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
this just made me think of something though. We all know about all these indie devs releasing Dreamcast games. Imagine if Sega did? Like even if it was a limited edition of a XBLA game or something? That would be amazing.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Releasing games on retro disc-based systems is much more feasible than on cart-based ones. After all, they reprinted MGS as recently as 2008 and they're still printing FFIX. Come to think of it, out of all the retro systems PS1 would be best for a new release. Every PS console in the world (minus portable ones) can run PS1 games, and the disc format and box type are still manufactured today.
