What was the last movie you've seen?

A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III

Garbage. So far the worst movie I've seen this year (I have no intention on seeing #43). And if you plan on checking this movie out because Bill Murray is in it, skip it. He's in the movie for 7 minutes, 10 top.

I can't wait to see this! The first one was awesome and it had the greatest sequel setup ever: The Joes won the battle but lost the war and they don't even know it! Wow!

Actually, everything I've read seems to indicate that the reason they did a sequel is because they just really wanted to regardless of monetary concerns. I wish more studios would do that. They all make enough money in a year that they could afford to do something just because it's worth doing, but they don't. I've always wondered why that is.

I have some ocean front property in Arizona I would sell you on the cheap.

Money is the ONLY reason they pushed COBRA back so far. No way were they going to challenge last years releases, and when they saw what The Avengers made, they scrambled like DC. "Tatum is in demand! Let's add more Tatum!".

And money is also the reason studios just don't "make movies". There is no wide distributor who will take a chance and say "Ah fuck it. I like the idea, here's $40million". The premise will always be "to make money", and when a movie flops, the studios take a huge hit.

These days you have to have at least a five year plan.

cant... tell... if... trolling...

Rise of Cobra was awful. And not just because of Marlon Wayans (though that's a good reason to call a movie awful). It was like Duke was in Dawsons Creek, AND BARONESS CHANGES SIDES WTF.

It was a friggin' joke. The only thing they got right was Snakeyes... AND THEY GAVE HIS MASK LIPS.

"hey im stormshadow and im gonna take off my mask all the damn time."

Retaliation looks great. I want to see it because it looks like whoever made it wanted to make it like the cartoon, which is cool. But as far as I'm concerned, Rise of Cobra doesn't exist.

Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood is perfectly fine.

Yeah but, much like the first two Scary Movie films, Wayans was 'in his element', as it were. The guy can ONLY do weed humor.

Honestly the only one that should be allowed to do anything in entertainment is Damon, or maybe Keenan. MAYBE Keenan.

I have to give Damon three snaps in a Z formation. He's got chops.

But I feel you on Marlon being a one trick pony.

I enjoyed Rise Of Cobra because you could tell they knew how silly the material was and didn't even try to take it seriously. If I'm gonna watch something like GI Joe, I'd rather see something that's intentionally silly than something that tried to be serious and failed. Battleship is a perfect example of the latter, but it's still worth seeing just to giggle at the cheesiness of it.
