All three of my cousins are in the Air Force. I have several friends from high school who are also in the Air Force. I went to a DoD high school on a Marine Base, so most of my 33 classmates went into the Marine Corps after high school or after college, but a lot went into the Air Force. On the bright side, it's a good thing you'll be graduating basic before it gets too hot at Lackland! If you PM us your address, I'm sure myself and several others would write to you during those lonely 2 months
.
Only advice I could give you: Stay anonymous (don't brownnose or be a wise-ass to your TI), ALWAYS help others and work as a team, and learn how to fold a hospital corner before you leave. Everything else, just be receptive and pay attention. That's one area where gamers have an edge, it's easy to pay attention to the finer details.
This is coming from a military brat.
I don't have any experience, only what I've been told over the past 26 years of my life.

My grandpa and mom were both in the Air Force, so it seemed the natural choice for me. And when I find out what my address will be I'll try to get it up. I need informants to tell me about Sony's PS4 event on the 20th!Blu wrote:All three of my cousins are in the Air Force. I have several friends from high school who are also in the Air Force. My dad was in the Air Force for a good while as a translator. He had to go to a cram school for a few weeks to learn to speak russian. I guess these days it would be arabic.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

I'll be sure to send you stuff once you have an address.
Older. Not wiser.

Best Buy ticked me off today when i discovered that my pre-order of Fist of the North Star: Ken's rage 2 is on backorder. Talking with customer service produced no results. Starting to think they didn't even have the things to begin with.
Checked my order status of Godzilla vs Megalon dvd and see that it will be delivered tomorrow. This made me smile.

Huge Smile:
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went down to Game Force in Boulder. I checked after their import stuff because I was interested in Evil Twin on Dreamcast. They had 2 sealed copies, but I decided to wait before picking it up because of the cost.
Moving on, today was the first day of a new route at work. Its a night shift, and I'll be running it. Of course that means much less time for my wife and I to spend together.
I got home tonight right about 12:30, long after she'd gone to bed already, and what do I find on the counter? A copy of Evil Twin and a note from my wife, "Just because I love you".

^Awesome.
Smile: The little things. Woke up to the sun shining through the bedroom windows, birds chirping. Watching my dog sleep in her bed "whooping" with puppy dreams. Kissing the wife before she left for work. Phone calls from old friends.
Maybe I'm just in a super pleasant mood.

Smile: Got to work around 7:30 today, knocked out a lot of work before things really picked up. Feeling accomplished and it's only 9:30.
Ticked: USPS is only going to deliver on weekdays. I'm sure that will get some of the members of this forum up in a roar. Crisis averted, they'll still deliver packages on the Saturday, but not mail. Locations that are open on Saturday will still be open.

Never give a judge the bird.
