I used to have a Sega CD. It started getting super-finicky reading discs a couple years back and lens cleaning wasn't doing the trick anymore, so I sold it someone who thought they could fix it. Since then the online prices have shot up so much, it just didn't seem worth it and I haven't come across one in the wild for a good deal.

Anyways, some of my favorites:

-Android Assault
-Final Fight CD
-Lords of Thunder
-Robo-Aleste
-Silpheed
-Sonic CD
-Star Wars: Rebel Assault

I'd like to add Lunar like most everyone else, but that game was to expensive for my tastes, so I never had the chance to play it.

I quite like the Sega CD although i admit i avoid games that use a lot of FMV and i think it has one of the worst Star Wars games released. My Fav`s-
Sonic CD
Flink
Chuck rock II
Final Fight CD
Android Assault / Bari Arm
Dennin (Robo) Aleste
Heart Of The Alien
Jaguar XJ220
Lords (Winds) Of Thunder
AX101

Some games may appear to have little difference than the MD version apart from sound and a few extra cut scenes but you should check them out still.

Whhhaaatt?! Who doesn't love cheesy FMV sequences! Maybe not to spend a lot of money but they do have charm!

They do! its the reason I love my Mega CD so much, all those cheesy FMV games lol

There are plenty of other good games, one that hasn't been mentioned is Batman Returns. Its twice the size of the normal cart game so well worth getting
